I’m more disappointed with the series x than the s. The series x feels simply like a higher Rez series s. Virtually no different besides 1080p. Which is why I sold my series x for a PS5. That’s where next gen is at really. Also I’ll get a series s down the road just to use Microsoft for their cute games on game pass. But when it comes to next gen, PS5 is where it’s at no question. I feel if you want a series x, you might as well get the series s cause series x does NOT feel next gen compared to ps5.
I have to disagree with you here, XSX fits the bill much better than XSS for me. I was in the OG Xbox and Xbox 360, but not really on Xbox One so XSX was my way to play the best version of all those games including the One X patched versions of the Xbox One titles.
To be fair, thanks to Sony not having BC with many PS3 titles (not talking about PSNow) or PS2 ones (aside from some first party gems like Primal which they re-released as HD Classics), I ended up buying quite a list of OG Xbox and Xbox 360 titles (yes, Blinx too) so that I can give myself more time to find space for the PS3 which gave back its spot to the PS5 for now.
Thanks to quite a few deals (Slayer Collection and DOOM 64 which I have now triple dipped [I had been waiting so long for it and Nightdive Studios made an superbly excellent port] too), I ended up having my home for Bethesda games there: DOOM I&II (double dipped at least, it was on offer for like £1.99), DOOM 3 (double dipped at least), DOOM 64 (triple dipped), DOOM 2016 (double dipped), DOOM Eternal (double dipped), Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim (triple dipped, VR too in one of the sales). Other classics like KOTOR I&II (I have yet to play part II, shocking I know).
If TES VI were to release on PS5, it would need to make some more than decent use of the SSD and especially haptics + adaptive triggers to double dip (unless there was a sale). Yes, Dual Sense is a decision tipping element for me if well integrated and the rest of the game is not considerably inferior.
Plus, I do not feel like building and making space for a PC, due to work and all I am set on an iOS + macOS ecosystem (easier on me as the house sysadmin too
, but there are several practical advantages to having macOS and iOS devices on the same network and the same family group... first time you copy and paste an image or text from one device to another with just a CMD+C/copy then CMD+V/Paste feels like magic and when AirDrop does not work [Charles Proxy plus VPN setup on one machine] it is noticeable hehe... always used to setup a shared network folder between computers before hehe)... so MSFS 2020 has a only worthwhile home on the XSX as you want to enjoy that puppy in 4K.
