I would argue this is because they (they being Sony 1st party studios) have a proven track record. Unless something crazy happens, we WILL see those games and we know they will look good. Microsoft 1st party games have been more of a gamble. Either from the Xbox One days or even as recently as Halo Infinite. So it is a lot easier to criticize them for big talk and CGI trailers, when in the past, that is all that we ever got as far as finished products go.

People went apeshit for God of War & Horizon Zero Dawn because they are established franchises. People know more or less what to expect from these games.
You're well within your right to be excited for something if you have already experienced the game on an existing platform (PS4).
You can't expect people to show same levels of excitement for a game(s) no one has experienced before or played and that is due in a couple years coupled with the fact we have 0 gameplay (understandably because its early development).

You're correct in that Sony 1st party studios have a proven track record. One that consists almost entirely of 3rd person cinematics. At some point Sony needs to instill a bit of variety into their portfolio.
Your argument falls apart if you've been a gamer for more than 5-6 years. Because there's almost no difference between now and prior to Horizon ZD, Days Gone, or GoT. According to your logic all those games should've been considered a gamble that warranted doubt. Yet they didn't.
Your argument boils down to track record (History). When observed from a distance your argument doesn't hold up.

I'm not saying to not be excited for GoW or HZD, but why does your excitement for that brand request the devaluation of another brand or preview?

Xbox has (for years now) been promising better exclusives. If you've been on the forums long enough, you'll know why people always run with the 'Xbox has no games' mantra because its partly true. Pretty sure the 'Xbox has no games' line is aimed at 'exclusive games' and not 3rd party games.
Xbox have leaned heavily on the holy trinity of Gears, Forza & Halo for far too long without developing anything worthwhile to go alongside these franchises so people have a reason to be skeptical or in a 'wait and see' mode when it comes to exclusive Xbox games.
With the Bethesda purchase they are trying to rectify that perceived view that they have few exclusives. So while it's welcomed that they are going to be working very hard on exclusive content, it remains to be seen whether that content is going to be competitive enough to capture increased market share over Sony.
There's a valid reason for the skepticism. Not everyone in here is knocking Xbox for shits and giggles.
If the content is there and its compelling and what gamers want, I doubt anyone here (that is not insane) will then be able maintain the 'Xbox has no games' mantra.
All we want is for Xbox's own God Of War, Horizon, Last of Us, Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima etc. etc.
If we get that (and I have no reason to believe we won't) then I'll be happy to be a multiplatform console owner for the foreseeable future.
