The only spinning we should be getting behind,

I can see it without zooming in.
It's kinda like the RT with this game on consoles, it can look blocky.

Limited personal experience: but I've seen worse VRS implementations more often than good ones in games. Not sure why that is the case and if VRS needs to be improved significantly before we can see it in its full glory. This is the so-called "bad" implementation of the VRS. The blocking artifact should not be so clearly visible. The algorithm should purposefully avoid colored areas with high-contrast borders and places /center of the image/ where we assume the player is looking. Also - slide 5 ..

You are never tired to warring right? I guess for you just talk about 2-3 fps of difference it's quite more important. I can't wait to see VRR and super resolution become a real thing on both platforms, let's see what excuse will find some people to continue exalt the graphic difference between the two platform which probably will vanish with such features.I've never seen a performance analysis thread concentrate so much on loading speed, then I realised why, it's PS5's only advantage so of course its going to be the first thing the usual suspects talk about
Forget about vrr. Get the ps5 version if you have both platforms. People will complain more once the games unlock on all region. See an extreme case I quote below from era, many have already complained about it.
"How are others playing on Xbox Series X feeling about the gameplay? I mean, this can't all just be in my head, this feels noticeably worse than RE7, right? Not just the aiming and camera controls having deadzone issues, but also the way Ethan moves and seems to get stuck on objects' colliders or something. If you press A to examine something or grab an item and then try to instantly move there's a big, big delay before Ethan decides to start moving. Same if you start and stop sprinting, there's a delay before he starts walking again after you've stopped sprinting. I feel like very few are actually talking about these things but they're clearly the most highlighted, biggest negative I can say about the game as of now, lol. And the impulse trigger vibration only works for the left trigger. These techincal hiccups are so frustrating."
This is absolute fud to me I've played every version multiple times and the game is the same.
The end game like I almost said 1.5 years ago was always SSD warsThis comparison seems about how the whole gen will play out. Slightly higher performance on series x, faster loading on ps5. I'm happy with ps5 version, don't feel like I'm missing out as it looks and plays great. Still a PS4 game underneath though so looking forward to next year and beyond for the real shit.

Yep there is no problem here, people will literally just make things up when they are desperate.
So sony fans are making shit up now ? As far as i understand, the loading is just one time, no ? From meny to game. And it takes 2 seconds on ps5 and 8 seconds on xbox. People are actually arguing that this is an advantage of some sort for anyone ? That would have been true if there were gazzilions of loadings all across the game, not a single one. Xbox runs better and has vrr. Isnt this visible from the moon that xbox takes this game ? This is gonna be a tiring generation if it'll continue like this.
John from DF would of pointed it out of it was an issue. Especially since he probably played them back and forth several times. He seems to really hate non responsive controls.
I'm no refering to the issue in my post. Anyway different people has complained about it, doubt they imagine things and if I'm not wrong the same RE7 had a similar issue hearing someone but I reported just what I heard, never played such games on XboxJohn from DF would of pointed it out of it was an issue. I think you're rightI haven't seen any loading screens on the PS5. That's my issue with assuming that it's 1 second behind the Series version. If loads were that long a fade to black of 8 seconds would look really off. In those situations a loading screen would be used which is what they did with the Series consoles.
I think you're right
Well, if it helps anyone I can happily report that I have not seen a single 9 second or 8 second loading screen. The longest I measured was 4 seconds on series x so I'm not sure what's wrong with John at DFs xbox
How exactly is warring what I have said in the bolded part? You are never tired to warring right?
I can't speak for myself yet, but everybody I personally know that's playing it says there are no 9 second long loading times. Everybody keeps saying it's like 4 seconds. Wonder what the capacity of his drive is? Ultimately it doesn't even matter if there are 9 second load times. Who is going to die from 9 seconds? lol.

Do you have a series X?Tier 2 VRS as in Gears 5 and Gears Tactics is not noticeable.
Had a blast playing Village on Series S last night, great performance with Ray Tracing off and it controls smoothly, loading is about 3 seconds from a save.
Will have a look at Xbox One X version today.
I didn't buy an OLED last year because of burn-in and two kids that leave their games paused all the time.Yeah I play on c1 and it's amazing. Hdr and vrr 4k120 full rgb!
The vrr oled flicker is game news. It only happens if you radically randomize fps. Like if the game stutters from 100 to 2fps because something loads, then momentary vrr gamma charge will be visible as flicker.
But re8 fps is smooth. 70 to 120 for me, no flicker and I don't notice gamma being slightly lower at 70 than 120fps. It does change but hard to notice.
I also wonder how would 60 fps locked game behave. Would it all the time be a bit more wanted out than 120hz game? Did that mean ps5 games never have proper gamma?
Lcd don't have this problem i think.I didn't buy an OLED last year because of burn-in and two kids that leave their games paused all the time.
So I got a Samsung QLED and I have searched for these gamma drops in VRR and have not found anything. I have tried loads of games and have not seen a thing. 4k120hz VRR no problem what-so-ever
People want gold for the price of doge .. people in this day and age are very demanding..I can't believe people are expecting 60FPS and full ray tracing at 1440p from a 299 dollar console.
Locked 60fps @ 1440p is the perfect bargain for the price.
Yeah, at the moment set up I have two Series X, two Series S and two Xbox One X along with a PS4 Pro and a gaming PC. Older consoles are in the loft going back to the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64.Do you have a series X?
You know PS5 has (reliable) suspend and resume, right? Which will load faster than quick resume anyways. The loading difference is practically negated with quick resume, considering theres essentially only one loading screen in the game which is 8 seconds vs 1 second. Considering the fact theres only one instance of loading not really something I'd consider a short coming if you going with the Xbox version.

What can you unplug it and turn it on days later and even play upto 5 games inbetween and it still quick resumes ?You know PS5 has (reliable) suspend and resume, right? Which will load faster than quick resume anyways.
Quick Resume or not, load times became uninteresting once I learned that the whole game was seamless without loading. I’m not that stressed out.The loading difference is practically negated with quick resume, considering theres essentially only one loading screen in the game which is 8 seconds vs 1 second. The FPS difference in raytracing is practically negated with the future VRR supported on ps5 but it seems it's not a valid argument neitherThe loading difference is practically negated with quick resume, considering theres essentially only one loading screen in the game which is 8 seconds vs 1 second. Why when ps5 outperforms the series X no one ever uses the terms flexing its muscle but when happens the contrary such expression is considered adequate? I really don't understand the rhetoric behind such sentence.Quick Resume or not, load times became uninteresting once I learned that the whole game was seamless without loading. I’m not that stressed out.
But isn’t all this mostly a metadiscussion about platform differences and how they may evolve over the generation rather than the actual differences seen in this game?
Are people here even playing on console? Maybe we need a poll?
I’m thinking those with a PC are the real winners here. It runs remarkably well even on my not so beefy PC, no RT but it can barely be seen anyway and I get almost 3x the fps I get on XSX, gsync is there, both mouse controls and full controller support, mods has started to appear as well.
XSX is flexing it’s muscles and it’s no doubt cool to see what it can do. But I’m still not playing that version. Needs to be Play Anywhere (or be on Gamepass) since I want the PC improvements.
Though I never said that, what it has to do the temporal release on ps5 with my argument? What changes if it was tomorrow or the next year anyway?VRR in PS5 is near future??. Good joke...Like internal SSD support in near future....When is near future??.
There is a big difference between the ability to suspend at any point across multiple games and the ability to load fast one game from a save point. But you know that already! You know PS5 has (reliable) suspend and resume, right? Which will load faster than quick resume anyways.
Still I don't understand what it has to do this with the ps5 and faster loading time. It has such advantage, other arguments are useless. There is a big difference between the ability to suspend at any point across multiple games and the ability to load fast one game from a save point. But you know that already!
With activities, yes. And it's reliable. What can you unplug it and turn it on days later and even play upto 5 games inbetween and it still quick resumes ?
