Brief summary:

- Messaged my long time friend who is currently working at Playstation, just general talk, then we started talking summer gaming wise and I tried to get something out of him surrounding a summer event.

- Friend replies with "Regarding PS/PS5 in general, the summer is about to get MUCH better on that front"

- I requested Mod of War to vet my info and it was successful.

- Made this thread and posted perhaps a little too much info and the Screenshot perhaps could give away his writing style, so I have made this summarised version for all to follow.

For anyone who thinks I have misled or am a fraud for this, I posted this reliable news which is better than anything we have got recently. We at GAF have been feasting off random redditors, twitter users and Roberto fucking Serrano recently, so for me to get a hint like this from an official PS Source, while not being huge news in itself, is a lot bigger than the prior news we would share here regarding Sony's Summer Plans.

It's a confirmation on the rumors we had, it's enough to be cautiously optimistic.

And don't forget Ghost standalone dlc thing got leaked, gow was delayed, horizon has already a gameplay video.

Ehh I wouldn't say I have insider info, I just get good teases/hints from my friend, I'd never label myself as such as I don't get to know enough to be one aha, just even though me and you find it weird that some doubt a summer presence, some on here have so this was more for them.

Also helps when hints around summer ongoings come from trusted individuals and not randos on reddit.

You do understand that you gave plenty of information about your friend's identity (assuming that they exist), creating the very real possibility that they're found and laid off uncerimoniously, and never get to work in this industry again?

I swear, people are so eager to show that they're "in the know" that they don't think. If I were you, I'd hurry and remove ALL hints about your friend's job, where he works, when he got the job, and so forth. That includes the private messages (which was a di*k move to publish sorry to say). Writing patterns can do a LOT to identify a person.

What does having a presense mean? That the PS4 and PS5 will be for sale? That they are going to not shut PSN down starting next week?

Or are you confirming that the State of Play is happening? I think most of believe that, but if that's what you're confirming, could you make it more obvious.
