I can't be the only one that doesn't care about this game....?

Like, I loved Bloodborne, but Fromsoftware should really try something new..

No not until other developers have the souls genre as flooded as fps and tps. I look forward to the day I don't have to play a mortal shell or fallen order because there hasn't been anything else actually good in the genre to play.

"...the depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations"

I'm curious about what caused the delay and what they're gonna pull off within that month. Either way, I'd take a delayed game that's great over a half baked disaster

That's not bad. Rather late and polished.

I hope this is the From Software game where they take care of some of their technological debt, frame pacing etc.
I think Sekiro and Dark Souls 3 have almost perfect 60fps and frame pacing on the current gen consoles and PC. If you are playing on the last gen, then I would be worried but otherwise I'm personally optimistic it will be pretty solid.

Didn't 60fps just halve the time of the stutter, but it's still there with their frame limiter? I know if you unlock it on PC it's fine though

I'd be playing on PS5, so at least I know it won't be like Bloodborne on PS4. Amazing game, but hard to go back to now.

I can't speak to exactly what is going on, but I've been playing though Dark Souls 3 on PS5 this month and it's been a smooth experience. I played a bit of Bloodborne on PS5 as well and it feels like a pretty stable 30fps overall. The frame pacing issues I personally noticed were more prevalent on the base PS4, improved on the PS4 Pro and PS5.

Not even mad. Actually a bit happy since I wanted to reduce my backlog before its launch :) Also an extra time for trying to get a PS5.

Take your time and give us the best experience.

Even knowing there will be a ton of stuff to play this really hurts. I think this will be FROM’s magnum opus, a game that will have the same level of influence as Dark Soild itself.

I made a comparison between the latest footage from the Network Test trailer & the leaked footage. Clearly, the leaked footage was either from a very old build - or a build that had several LOD features turned off.

For me, All it has to achieve is be equal or slightly better looking than Sekiro. Which I believe they will do.
This build looks to have purposely all particle animation with all its bells and whistles turned off.

I knew this would happen to my most anticipated game lol. Oh well, make it as great as it can be 👌. This and Horizon within 1 week of each other though 🤯.

Thats cool. I won’t be able to play it till March anyway.
Miyazaki makes amazing games so I trust the delay.

This will now take priority over Horizon 2 and Sifu

Or just carry on doing what they are great at and change it up here and there like Bloodborne, Sekiro etc
No point making something new for the sake of it. It’s his genre and no1 else comes close to making it as good as him.

Unlike the million 1st person shooters, wrpg’s, jrpg’s, open world games these are Different and not annual

I am expecting a lot of games will be delayed in 2022. It will be due to more development time being needed or the publishers not wanting to release their game next to another big release.

tbh I think it's the other way around. But if there are no changes 6 days should be more than enough to platinum Horizon just in time for the GOAT.

Sifu has to wait 'till late March.
You can platinumed open world game like hfw in just 6 days?

February 4
  • Dying Light 2: Stay Human
February 17
  • King of Fighters XV
February 18
  • Horizon: Forbidden West
February 22
  • Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
  • Sifu
February 25
  • Elden Ring
  • Saints Row

My wallet will cry
Unless you have the time to play like 10 hours a day, you don't really need to buy all those in February.
Besides, there's a couple of games in there that might not be as good as you're hoping. Dying Light 2 isn't looking too good, nor is Saints Row TBH.

Gutted, as I’m day one on this. But, this’ll give me more time to enjoy Halo, Battlefield, Forza and Pokémon Arceus. Can’t wait to play this game, Miyazaki always delivers.
