ADATA SX8200 PROWhat speed drives are these?
Because if this is the case with gen3 drives which are about 3gb/s, it must not be a hardware issue causing the 20second load times on series consoles.
I don't mean to handwave other people's concerns but I have a 2080ti and 32 GB of RAM and while there ARE multiple framedrops, you can hardly call it a 'broken unplayable mess' like some people do.I don't know where these bad experiences from the PC is coming from. Either I have a well built system or people are using hyperbole or they don't have well built systems.
I have the following specs:
RTX 3090
AMD 3950X
64G RAM
Samsung EVO970+ Pcie 4.0 SSD
All graphics options are MAX
My microstutters are largely during open world spots and their duration is extremely short.

10/10After playing Horizon this feels so PS3. Sterile, no interactivity, grass don't move and yet it's Horizon's graphics that got nitpicked relentlessly I will never understand what happened there
The gameplay is also the exact same. Like I already played this game several times before lol

More like 0.43%.I mean, you're literally showing a PC that maybe less than 4 to 5 % of PC gamers might have.
i had same experience. he aint lying. Its constantPost a video of stutters every few seconds on PS5 (as you're claiming), because I think it's pure hyperbole
Nah Nvidia2080tiAMD card?
The reason for my comment is that people are saying "high-end" PCs. I'm assuming these examples include setups like mines.I mean, you're literally showing a PC that maybe less than 4 to 5 % of PC gamers might have.
You're in the extreme minority but regardless there's enough people talking about performance issues on 20xx and 3070/80 series cards that we can't call them all hyperbolic or liars. Alex from DF wouldn't have any reason to lie about the bad optimization, if anything he'd be flaunting it over the console versions everywhere.
Yup. That was the reason for my statements. I'm glad someone didn't just troll my comments due to biases.after some tinkering, I’ve sorted my pc version and I only have the frame rate stutter when moving to a new area, the rest of the time it’s locked 60fps And extremely playable.
it turns out that it’s a good idea not to update your motherboards bios and then try and use overclock pre saved settings from like 3 years ago from an old bios revision to OC your system, that coupled with recently installing an elgato wave 3 mic and wave lab software was messing with my pc. Basically it’s like a 4 year old windows 10 install that needs a fresh wipe but I can’t be bothered because my 12900k build arrives in a couple of weeks.
I am completely in the camp of the pc version being more hyperbole, but we do have high end rigs. The stutters suck and need to be patched asaps but once they are there will be no denying how amazing this game is. I was dreaming about it and can’t wait to get back on.
I set my output to 60hz cuz John from DF said it actually helps with motion blur or some shit oddly enough But yeah so far so good on xsxI managed a few hours on Series X last night, it was buttery smooth. VRR counter was saying about 48-60fps during gameplay and around 40-50fps during cut scenes where you control nothing anyway.
Obviously all in performance mode with 120hz output forced.

I was also satisfied with the S version, but found the 30 mode to be stable and much sharper and switched to that after a couple hours of performance only. Now I’m on X though in performanceIt's good enough on Series S.
Ofcourse I would want a locked 60fps but I can deal with how it is. Dare I say I'm happy for how it runs.

Have you played the ps5 version? It's not hyperbole as others have backed up. Even if I showed you video, would you even see the stutters happening constantly? Because they literally are and you clearly can't see them so why would me showing you footage change that?Post a video of stutters every few seconds on PS5 (as you're claiming), because I think it's pure hyperbole
This game can't even run well on super high powered PCs, so graphics comparisons between platforms makes no sense.
Thanks for emphasising your platform preference for this game once again John. What is so 'baffling' about a game loading quicker on a machine whose decompressor is about three times more powerful and its SSD more than twice faster exactly?
Because it loads almost as fast as the PS5 on a regular PC with a slow Gen 3 drive? Obviously something is amiss with the Series versions. Thanks for emphasising your platform preference for this game once again John. This game is not using well all this fancy PS5 decompression hardware, PS4 version loads only a bit worse than PS5 version. AND SSD speed have nothing to do with it TOO! I did my comparison with PS4 version running from USB 3.0 SSD!

From really screwed up Xbox version for no apparent reason.

What you need to know
- Elden Ring is the latest action RPG from Dark Souls devs FromSoftware.
- The game is unfortunately broken for many on Xbox now, with offline services not working.
- So far, Bandai Namco has yet to acknowledge the issue.
The base PS4 loads as fast as the Series X. Something is clearly not right.SSD do makes difference in this game.
PC with SSD PCI-E 3.0 has loading close to Series X while SSD PCI-E 4.0 close to PS5.
It really looks like a mid gen PS4 title at best, and that’s being generous.

Or not familiar with the developer kit. Likely had less development time spent on it as well. No real reason XSX should load a game at last-gen speeds. So not anything to do with hardware and everything to do with FROM 'not liking' xbox platform huh?..

No, literally the base PS4. HDD and all.Base PS4 on PS5.

That image just proves the point. Series console are almost as slow as the PS4 with a HDD. On top of that the XOX loading is also terrible when compares to the PS4 Pro.PS4 running on PS5.
PS4 and PS4 Pro loads around 20s.
That would be the first time. In most games there is even close to no difference between NVME and SATA SSD:
Everything is CPU limited in loading
They clearly can't code their games properly, this is evident since original DeS. Now they have shit ton of platforms to work with and Xbox got the least amount of love. There is no hardware reason for this game to load like this on Series consoles.
Not bad? It's ridiculus. The game does have some stutter issues on PC at times, usually it's only for 1-2 seconds but occasionally it hits multiple times in a row. If someone calls it unplayable they're lying, it's not THAT bad.

Sorry but i don't understand how you can talk with that much certainty and authority. Do you have some kind of inside knowledge? Are you a game developer?
