Dang, that is a well done effect. And there are definitely some slaps out there I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of. :p

After that dude making games for 20 years now, I doubt his abilities to make games are gonna skyrocket somehow. For context I didn't like either skyrim or fallout.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Goddamn, the other side defends just as pathetically as the blue side. The people defending the PS+ tiers and now you. Maybe they should tell their employees to be quiet about the game. He still represents the game and company.

I'll see y'all when they finally show the game at E3.

"Bethesda Game Studios veteran Emil Pagliarulo, who has worked at the Fallout and Elder Scrolls studio for 19 years, has shared a little more insight on Starfield. In an employee profile on Bethesda's website, the developer said the sci-fi RPG is going to offer "something really special" that will make players go wild.

"Saying you're going to create the studio’s first new IP in twenty years is one thing. Actually pulling that off, that's a different story," Pagliarulo said. "It's been so awe-inspiring watching Starfield morph into this amazing game, little by little, and with us covering SO much new ground."

Yeah, I bet

I'm pretty sure the game will be good too.

I'm hoping for good writing and exploration. Pull that off and I'm happy. I dont expect combat to break new ground really. Hopefully they have a compelling story to tell.
Yeah, I trust Bethesda when it comes to open world exploration and lore, they always deliver.
Combat is not their thing though. I wonder how they can make that interesting when it’s first person and supposed to be grounded in reality.

I do hope for sake of their fans they make good game but Bethesda are known for making buggy and sometimes downright broken game so maybe, just maybe these devs shouldn't say hyperbole stuff that will bite in their ass later on.

I hope its good, space exploration in ship that's customizable and being able to land on planets and explore them too. Hopefully more in depth than No Man's Sky.

Last time I played a Bethesda game I lost a 50 hours save file of Skyrim on the ps3...
Ah the good ol' days, the first experience I had was on PS3. The atmosphere, breathtaking... And then 80 hours in you find out a quest is bugged and you can't reload a save before it because you've been playing for too long.

So a dev being proud and excited about what he’s been able to pull off is now a bad thing?

“From devs were quiet about Elden Ring so Starfield devs need to be quiet too” is not sensible logic.

Ah but both devs are renowned for their previous games.

One dev delivers quality every. Single. Game.

Another dev is known for the most horrendous of game releases. Every. Single. Game.

Well I’m super excited for it, but that excitement is purely based on how much I love the Elder Scrolls series.

Watch is be a GaaS game like Fallout 76... rather than Skyrim or Fallout New Vegas.

They will be right about the community losing their minds if they announce that.

Here's what I know about Starfield so far:

1 - Zero footage of gameplay, nearly zero footage of in-engine rendering. Their "extended trailer" had what, 2 minutes worth of (supposedly) in-engine rendering?

2 - A ridiculous amount of footage of circlejerking developers talking about how great the game is going to be. And concept art, so much concept art (that all games have, but Bethesda really wants us to see their concept art).

Though looking at some comments in this thread it appears as though this weirdly hollow marketing push is working just fine.

I'd have preferred an Elder Scrolls VI from Bethesda but I really hope this game is good. It seems to be pretty much what I originally paid for Star Citizen though it unfortunately turn out to be a scam.

But I haven't seen any evidence that this will be good, though. I've seen my fair share of developers and studio heads talking about how great their games would be, just to release complete turds at the end.
Seeing yet another dev boasting about his own work with nothing to show (again) is actually making me feel more suspicious of it all.

Yeah, I'm going to sole my mind if it's has a ton of bugs, crashes all the time, deletes save files, and all those things Bethesda games are known for.

I’d say a studios first new IP IN 20 years isn’t something to brag about.

That being said, I’d rather have remakes of ES 1-3, especially Daggerfall.

Nah, I'm good. You can keep your low budget discount console for yourself.

Nah, I own a Series X already.

Given your constant takes of not being interested in Xbox yet showing up in xbox related topics to troll, I assumed your challenge was an affordability issue. Glad to hear I was mistaken.

You can spring for the Xbox Series X at $499 then 👍🏼

So basically, you’re at the stage where you need to see Gameplay to make up your mind about Starfield. And you’re not impressed with any releases or new info about the game if it isn’t accompanied by Gameplay.

This begs the question of why you’re in a thread where the title already makes it 100% Crystal clear that there’s no gameplay in it?

Why won’t you ‘gameplay or bust’ folks stay out of threads that are clearly labeled ‘concept art’ or stuff like this?

Again, we didn’t see any sliver of Gameplay from Elden Ring until 8 months before launch. Yet we never got this amount of ‘concern’. Ah well.

Hopefully it has that sense of discovery and depth that Fallout and Elder Scrolls have, with everything else catching up to modern games in terms of performance, motion capture, acting performance etc.

I’ve dipped in and out of their other IPs but they haven’t stuck with me. They always felt janky and behind the times in many ways so hopefully the new engine overcomes that.

I like how From software were quiet AF. The finished product spoke for itself. These statements will do more harm than good.
Why the fuck do you fanatics have to "What about Elden Ring?" everywhere? This has nothing to do with Elden Ring except to you fanboys. FFs now the devs talking about a game is bad for the game because Elden Ring devs don't do that. That is fucking insane.

So horrendous, that the games win multiple GOTY awards and sell tens of millions of copies.

You are very wise
🤣
Go on please make a case that their games aren’t riddled with bugs…game breaking bugs, then left in such a state that the community has to fix them.
