Cutscenes looks great, Sonic design is top notch. Still some doubt about world, enemies and gameplay in general, but I can't deny I'm hyped.

I will buy it day 0 but I dont have any hopes for the game being good honestly. Hope to be proven wrong.

I'm actually interested now....lol. Hate that the review embargo is the day before release.

Looks great. The review embargo date will probably help with reviews. Reviewers would have been tired and annoyed having to rush out Sonic and God of War reviews at the same time, probably more annoyed that Sonic is taking time away from Ragnarok. Now that all the reviewers have there Ragnarok reviews out they can take their time with Frontiers.

The review embargo is the day before release bc they don’t want all the reviewers pointing out that all the pretty CGI material in trailers is just for Promos 🥺😭😭😭

I’m gonna whine about it for a while idc

Switch 2 is needed asap. Hope those issues are not in the PS/Xbox versions.

I would assume the empty nothing fields and the lack of engagement are uniform across all versions regardless of hardware unfortunately.

Those were the issue you were referring to right?

Wow, they ported Sonic Heroes !

Watched some gameplay. This looks like Boredom Simulator Frontiers.

I don't remember the levels being empty in Sonic Heroes though.

Looks like the game leaked on Switch and performance seems quite rough :(

Link broke, but the Switch version has lots more leaked videos.

It's certainly not an "impossible port" for sure. I'd like to see it on a handheld screen at least, but not catastrophic, just lo-fi. Feels like a project that went, "Hey, Unreal Engine works on Switch, right? Great, let's port this."

And the game itself, it's... quiet. Except when it gets loud.

Still getting major “Sega HIRED THIS MAN” vibes from this one, but for the sake of Sonic fans I hope it’s good.

I think it looks pretty good.

People shit on this but geek out over every new shitty looking pokemon game. I don’t get it. This actually looks like a console game at least
Modded Pokémon looks really nice I’m playing luminescent which has ray traced shadows and it looks awesome

It's true, Sonic games sell more on Nintendo platforms than PS or Xbox.

Because more on released exclusively on NIntendo platforms, but when you look at major releases they sell more outside Nintendo. Colors was the only big exception back in 2010.

Is Sonic Adventure still worth playing or is it outdated (the xbox 360 version that is)?

The 360 version enhanced on a One X or Series S/X is the best way to play the game. The DC and especially GC versions are hot garbage.

There's more exclusives on Nintendo precisely because they sell more on Nintendo. That's where the audience that plays cartoon platformers and obsesses over 16 but console wars is and the first few 3rd party releases being GCN/GBA sent the message that Nintendo was the new home for the hedgehog.

The window mode 360 version with missing lighting effects and more bugs being better than DC is a laugh, especially when the latter can be played through RetroArch. It's also missing the GG games of the GCN version. So it's basically the worst version.

Numbers don't add up with that. Nintendo and Sega have more collaborations involving Sonic, that's all there is too it.

Between 2005-2012 most major Sega Sonic sales were way ahead outside Nintendo, you have to add Olympic games and such to fill in the gap. GCN Sonics were part of an exclusivity deal as was the GBA, and Sonic sold more on the 360 than all those GCN games combined. GBA had Sonic Advance 1, and then each game after sold less. Nokia was just able to get Advance 1 before hand.

You need to look at enhanced visuals of Sonic Adventure 1 on Youtube on a One X, and then a Series X because it's clearly the best version of the game.

Also putting the GCN Sonic Adventure 1 above anything is lunacy, it's the worst version (with badly emulated GG games than Mega collection plus), with a lot of issues. What's worse is that's the version that's in your video, not the 360 version.

In terms of legal ways to play Series is the best way, modded PC version is also a choice.
