Novigrad gonna Novigrad.
Saw somewhere that CDPR will drop a Day One patch.

Hopefuly the performance will be improved.

Also probably why we dont have a video from Digital Foundry yet. They always make their videos about the version that players will get on Day One.

Look at this "Gaming YouTuber" with 310k+ subscriptions showcasing ray tracing on consoles by looking at water reflections (timestamped 3:45):

Spoiler: this game does not support RT reflections on consoles.

The reflections literally disappear when the reflected geometry is no longer on screen, which is exactly how SSR works and exactly what RT reflections avoid. And he's just "there's some artifacting", lol.

I never much cared for this game as the combat was so terrible. Just heard there is a mod for making all combat encounters a card game which sounds hilarious, might give that a shot.

edit - ah it seems the card game is actually part of the game. I don't remember that. Has anyone tried it?

Card game is horrible in the game if u don't know how it works.

Once u get to know it, i really started to like it that i hunt for them specifically every chance i would get. And its great.

I just hope it supports the DualSense on PC
There is support but only partial i've read in an other thread. Marcin Momot said:
"It's partial on PC. There's no haptic feedback per se but we have vibration and adaptive triggers."
That sucks and i don't understand why they can't make it fully work.

So - as someone who loves RPGs and hasn't played this yet

The writing and performances are strong and side missions never feel like filler. It's also a lovely world. Mechanically it is competent but rather dull and the open world would rather lead you by the nose instead of letting you get lost.

Critic Reviews

PSX Brasil - 10/10
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS5 is still the fantastic adventure that won over thousands of players in the last generation. It's basically one of the best games of all time improved in many points, such as loading, frame rate and graphics. The free upgrade just make things even better. However, don't expect anything new though - at its heart it's the same game we enjoyed in 2015 and its expansions later on.
VGC - 10/10
  • While some cracks are beginning to form around the edges, the people who’ve played the game 10 times already won’t care, and will be thrilled to hear that the next-gen version of the game provides a definitive console experience and a great reason to head back out into the wilds.
Noisy Pixel - 9.5/10.0
  • The Witcher 3 is commonly cited as one of the best video games ever made. While I would never have called it “perfect,” it was always close. This final release brings it even closer.
Push Square - 9.0/10.0
  • Over seven years after its original release, The Witcher 3 is still a masterpiece. In its character writing and dialogue, it's yet to be surpassed, while its knack for telling so many engrossing stories is still seriously impressive. Although aspects of its gameplay haven't aged quite so well, there's no doubt that Complete Edition is the best version of a truly outstanding open world adventure.
Cubed3 - 9.0/10.0
  • The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is an amazing triumph of fantasy world design. It successfully pairs fast action gameplay with slower methodical planning and preparation moments, as well as having an incredibly fun main storyline with plentiful side quests. At this point the game has been out for a long time, but it is highly recommended that it is on anyone's lists especially if they missed the boat on the original release. In a word, fantastic.
You don't actually need MC when it makes sense.

Interesting that they are re-reviewing the game. Have they added new/updated content?
Would love to know!
I think as long as opencritic doesnt make a new page and as long as big outlets like IGN and Gamespot dont review it again then it doesnt count, this is the same as P5 Royal switch/Pc edition on metacritic.

Best card mini-game in a game since triple triad if that means anything to you.

Played this game a long time ago but never did the DLC and don’t think I have the save data anymore. Is there a way I can just play the DLC with a new character or would I be too underleveled to try this?
