PlayStation VR2 |OT| I heard it has a single cable. Is this true?

I got this 3rd party charger because the official SUPER SUCKS! It charges the controllers and holds the headset too. Plus it looks cool in the rack.

Now that the psvr2 has released. Would a ps5 pro worth it? I mean to play the games in higher res and maybe more detailed? I think i would totally get one. If you can play for example gt7 in psvr2 on the ps5 pro like the gt7 flat mode. Would it be possible? How did the ps4 pro with psvr 1 compares to the ps4 slim psvr1 for example? I know it's better.

From what I asked, this already happened, PSVR1 running off PS5 is better than PS4.

I would expect patches to be needed, but imagine most games would get 120 fps and native res patches for PS6. So day 1, or not. Depends if I want to pay a scalper $2000 lol.

Not sure of the exact effects it would have as some of the problems are VR problems not machine horsepower. These will be solved mostly by next gen headsets that are being worked on now. Also 8K resolution will be a big bump. Im probably not saying that with exact terminology but someone else will chime in.

The PS4 PRO did help out somewhat but wasn't exactly a huge game changer. I tried a few games in both and still have a PSVR1, PS4, and PS4PRO.

To be fair I don't think a PS5 Pro is really needed for PSVR2 given what's been showcased so far and the tech it has to help with performance.

I ended up buying a PS4 Pro for PSVR back in the day as the upgraded games were worth it. The likes of Resi 7 were borderline unplayable for me on the regular PS4 as the concessions were a bit much, the Pro helped with a higher res & better visuals. Only issue was the same as regular games, they needed a patch or some work put in, something which didn't always happen. Most of the time it was just a supersampled resolution for the Pro upgrade :messenger_neutral:

Most of the games people have problems being blurry are the AAA ones (RE8, Horizon, GT7) these run as sub native res and are using re-projection - though some are just horribly optimized for no good reason too - like abstract indie games that look like PS1 games but at higher res running poorly.. Getting them patched to 120fps and native res would absolutely put them on par/above the native res games out now which get recommended all the time for seeing just how detailed the device can be when people are disappointed with the device after seeing those games.

Those games are not blurry at all. The only one with this problem is No Man's Sky.

I dunno, I definitely can see pixels and shimmering in RE8 due to the lower res - the headset is capable of more than what it puts out. And I've read a lot of impressions of Horizon where people hate it because of the ghosting from the reprojection used as it doesn't run at 90 or 120. No Man's Sky definitely has performance/issues that don't make sense I had that one in mind.

Are you talking about the G923. I have it, it isn't worth the upgrade if you already have a G29. The better upgrade, if you're willing to fork out the cash is the Logitech Pro Racing Wheel at $999.

Yeah I was. Thanks for saving me over $150. The max I can justify is $400 on a wheel and pedal setup. $1000 is INSANE to me.

Anyone else have the haptics stop working on the Sense controllers? It doesn't happen alot and a restart of the PS5 fixes it, but annoying nonetheless

Yep happens to me once her 3 or 4 times I put my PS5 into sleep mode. A reboot fixes it.

With this harsh light, maybe think about some skin for middle of the playstation ? The glossy part

That's a good idea. I think the D-Brand company has something like that.

Who have thrusmaster t150 here? I read someone who said it had one. My brother gave me his and yesterday did the ball bearing mod and it transformed the wheel. I have tested the g25, g27 and g29. Now the wheel to me feels better than all the Logitech i have tried. The wheel is smoother, less noise, less grinding, faster and less notichier than before. If anyone has a t150 and want to upgrade first do this and probably you will want to keep the wheel and upgrade the pedals. I brought the t3pm because the wheel had the 2 pedal set and it sucks but even using the t150 as it's and the 2 set pedals i was faster and controlled the car better. Will wait to have my gt omega apex i ordered to use the t3pm. Later will buy a used th8a shifter on ebay.

The shop were i ordered the psvr2 will have it by the 03-25 maybe the 22. Was going to order it but for $50 more also in my country and have local warranty is better. The waiting is killing me. I need to try gt7 in vr with the wheel setup.

Holy crap Demeo is amazing!
My favorite PSVR2 title as of now. It is a brilliant game to play with friends, I absolutely love every second with it, I can't stop recommending this game to everyone, even if you play just the flatscreen version (which is cool, but no as cool as in VR). Going to play some more tonight 😎

Yeah and it looks so good. It's priceless to see a table top game come alive like that. Have you played all the missions!?

That’s my one criticism of some titles E.g. RE8: some distant geometry (I presume) is being heavily lodded and looks jaggy. The menu screen in Pavlov has this a little. NMS though kind of looks like everything is jaggy. Although weirdly it’s one of the more immersive titles.
Kayak, COTM and Townsmen don't seem to suffer from this at all.

I got it yesterday! I want to play solo first then jump to online. I wonder if the dev has any future plans for more content...
More missions would be cool. PCVR also has a lobby for up to 12 players that is not available for PSVR2 yet, if I remember correctly. Plus, they added the bard and the warlock (and some missions) after the release of the title on PC, so at least their track record is in our favor lol

I had T150 for like the last 7 years and just recently upgraded to G923. I thought the difference is night and day, T150 wheel feels like a little toy in hand IMO they are so small and feels very plasticky compared to Logitech G923 wheel. The added force feedback from the new trueforce tech in G923 immensely enhanced the immersion IMO especially in VR, also the brake/pedals on G923 blow the crap out of T150 pedals.

I love that G923 is pretty much ready out of a box, I was thinking of upgrading to the Thrustmaster 300GTs but wasn't feeling the pedals and doesnt want to spend any more money. So i probably going to stick with the G923 wheels for a while until the DD Pro if im srs about this sim racing hobby

The Logitech wheels have better materials and looks better vs the t150 or the t300 there is no contest there. This mod transform the t150 but still the wheel is small, looks cheap, don't have many buttons but mechanically and how it's now to me is better the g29. Haven't tried the g923. The t150 2 pedal set sucks. Minimum t3pa and to me are better than the g29 pedals. The t3pm is the successor of the t3pa and are a bit better. The tlcm are load cell so obviously are better. The th8a shifter is expensive but is better than the Logitech g29 shifter. It's fully mechanical and sequential too. So like i said if anyone has a t150 do the mod. Look for the YouTube tmx or t150 ball bearing mod and test the mod unless someone wants a bigger, better looking wheel and more buttons.

Not sure what you're getting at, but the games on a technical level would 100% benefit from a PS6 upgrade and I do have 20/20 vision! Though maybe my headset is defective, but I don't think so.

A couple of days ago I started using the Pulse wireless headset in conjunction with the PSVR2 and, at least for the shape of my head, it's perfect for holding the VR headset in place, when before I had to worry about readjusting it from time to time.

Anyway, today I bought the Moss 1 and 2 bundle, and Cities VR, and finished Moss 1 in one session :messenger_tears_of_joy:
With my previous setup with PSVR1, I was very limited in movement due to the dualshock 4 tracking, but now, being able to move freely around the stage in tandem with Quill improved the experience a lot. I was able to find collectibles much more easily and combat became less cumbersome by having two hands instead of having to move the dualschock while controlling Quill. I could even hold an enemy with one hand while healing Quill with the other. I was also surprised at how much sharper the game looks.

Graphic wise does it look just sharper or does the actual graphics look better!?

Oh I didn't know Moss got a free update for PSVR2. I was just checking out games and there it was. I bought it on 1 but said to download it for VR2.

Cool, guess I own another game.

I'm guessing not the ps+ one.

Even then though, I thought moss for vr2 was a whole new sku w no upgrade.

Lots of work to make these through the lenses videos

Surprising info there is that the diffuser (to lower screen door effect) seems to be the real culprit behind the mura complaints and not the screen per say (well its all part of optics anyway), and the display is apparently pentile diamond pattern screen?? That's a shock to me considering the PSVR 1 full RGB. That means the PSVR 2 has less subpixels than a Quest 2

Quest 2: 1,832 x 1920 x 3 = 10552320
PSVR2: 2000 x 2040 x 2.5 = 10200000
Pico 4: 2160 x 2160 x 3 = 13996800

That makes more sense. I've tried to find this mura effect and I've suspected it was the grainy thing. psvr1 had the same thing. I always figured it was screen door. Didn't know there was a coating diffusing it though. Many have commented on the psvr1 having very little screen door. Same for vr2, actually. I always found it less intrusive than the classic grid.

That's great info. Yes that's me with the T150 and I'll look this ball-bearing mod up.

As expected best brightness and colors on psvr2. For me shocking in this video is size of screen door effect on quest pro. I would guess Sony went with pentile diamond panel as full rgb 4k oled would be too expensive.

It’s the micro-LED array that hurts the Quest pro not the famous screen door effect of pixel density. But yes, it’s annoying, although I never used the pro, the reviews praise it for the clarity, probably due to the lenses.

I heard one place speculate that it would be hard to source at all. PSVR1 might have been the only consumer device at the time of release with a full stripe oled.

No offense, great video, but the zoom in comparisons are extremely unfair to PSVR2 since they don’t always zoom into the center. PSVR2 have eye tracking and foveated rendering deliberately making everything you’re not looking directly at less sharp.
