I want you guys to keep this same energy on the next gigantic release that has multiple threads, no matter the publisher or developer.

Edit: Since everyone is reading into this post incorrectly let me stop it here: My issue is with the whiners, not the Starfield threads. There, now rewrite your posts please.

I so want the front page to be entirely Starfield threads.

"Oh god, how quickly can I type 7/10, gamepass so no sales, Bethesda Jank, it's just No Man's Sky. My IMMERSION IS BROKEN. PRONOUNS!!! PRONOUNS!!!!!"

Uh... we do?

Gamer amnesia is all too real.
No amnesia here, I simply wasn’t an active user as long as you. I lurked in the past before making my account. If you have any examples, please let me know which games with this level of whining about thread count happened on GAF in the past.

I mean, Baldur's Gate 3 is literally being touted as a game of the generation and Rockstar levels of 'how is this even possible?' and - judging by GAF - you'd honestly think that it was a gaming footnote compared to Starfield.

its not that unusual for DF to do a seperate video focusing on PC version of a big release, keep your pants on.
Indeed, Baldur's Gate 3 has three videos so far and will likely be up to four once the Xbox version comes out. Jedi Survivor is three videos as well with a fourth on the way. Ratchet and Clank PC version got a one hour playthrough dedicated to it as well.

Elden Ring and Cyberpunk have six and nine videos respectively.

Almost every large game that gets a new thread every other hour gets critical on said behavior. I've seen it nipped in the bud much faster than this game by the staff in the past as well.

I'm still stuck playing Starfield on Series X.
I hope the game is running well for PC players, but I just don't have the time or energy keeping up with PC troubles currently, (PC is a disaster for gaming right now IMHO).

Conspicuous by its absence so far, especially as there is so much scope to be critical of the performance. Again it looks like they are too close to Microsoft and want to delay their criticisms to avoid upsetting them.
The game released literally three days ago and they posted a first analysis video six days ago.

There are certainly suspicious behaviors (e.g. people with 100+ posts on the topic despite sayin they have no interest in it) about Starfield but this doesn’t seem like one of them.

There were daily Starfield threads before the game came out. People would be more tolerable of them after release if there weren't so many of them before release.
Though I think this particular one is just a DF thread like any other.

Lol we had a 70 page thread of people complaining about FFXVI before launch, then a few threads a day on it every day. Happens with all big releases really.

Will happen to Spiderman too.

I have ignored 25 threads on Starfield. I've been on neogaf since maybe 2015 and I've never seen one game get so many threads

Elden Ring is the last game that had this kinda hype and I only needed to ignore 2 threads. This shit is getting excessive.

I'm pretty sure it was because that long thread was whining about turn based combat being dead in FF games. FF16 just happened to be coming out around that time which is why it became the sole focus of that complaint. The other thread I remember participating in was the thread about FF16's art style being too muted compared to other entries.

Like Roxkis_ii Roxkis_ii said, Starfield threads are on a scale much larger than FF16's ever was, and also are happening at a much faster pace. I can only assume it's comparable to what it was like here around the time Breath of the Wild came out, but I don't have the needed context to go on to know if this is true.

If certain people are going to whine, that's fine, but I just don't want to see those same people flood the forum with threads about their next big favorite release due to bias, because that would make them hypocrites.
