My first instinct is to ask you if you mean a soulslike, but instead of making an assumption I was wondering if you could name a game or two.
To show you that I’m not trying to argue, I’ll state what my pitch would have been: My own bold idea would be to make it a first person melee game with possibly a type of lock on mechanic. That way you could also aim the claws at critical points. Insomniac would use their creativity from the Resistance games to make first person work for Wolverine.

I know you aren’t trying to argue - you might laugh if I say Tomb Raider 2013, but the ‘soul’ of the game play in that game feels very different than a Sony first party game. There’s also Ubisoft games (primarily AC). There is a different way of doing it and I find Sony’s the blandest of them all, in their quest for ‘impact’ in their combat the opposite actually happens.
Also, your idea sounds great - I’d much prefer that.

Thats not a Sony or Wolverine thing.
That's holistically all games maybe the past 5-6 years. COD, Gears, FIFA and NHL women's league players, heck Alan Wake 2 etc.... Have a game that blends in both genders and a successful game can corner the market from male and female gamers instead of guy focus only games.

Alan wake 2 is really bad with this. Saga is really the main character and she sucks ass.
Gow ragnarok is also pretty bad with this. I never wanted to play as Atreus and he also sucks ass. But there is much less of him.
Ratchet got turned into a little bitch. The ratchet girl got more bite than he does.
Man…. Why can we just play as bad ass wolverine. No saying Jean is bad. She is great in the movies but it’s wolverine.
There is nothing wrong making game about bad dude in which you play as said bad dude.

I love Jean Grey as a character but after what they did to MJ's character in SM2, I'm not really looking forward to Insomniac's take on her. Already know that she's going to call Logan a toxic male or some other feminist bs.

early dev footage and it sucks for insomniac that this has leaked but it looks like Spiderman again and I’m bored of that art style and gameplay. Hopefully it gets more gory and dark but I’m not holding my breath. Looks very safe.

Hackers got in a week ago and blackmailed Sony to pay them or they'd release the data. Looks like Sony balked and the hackers released it. I remember hearing the data breach was nothing major, but I guess it was tons of info after all.lol WTF is that smell o vision detective mode

Certainly seems like they have gotten a lot of good data. This is bad PR for Sony again. These game developers need to seriously sort their shit out in terms of security. Becoming more and more commonplace. I have watched them as it’s not a game I’m super invested in but it does suck for the people working on this and the people who are excited and want to go in blind if they then get inadvertently spoiled.

At work, our IT dept does all their memos telling people about security, our company phones and laptops are even locked out of exporting data through USB sticks or cables. I cant even plug in my phone to my personal laptop and download images and videos I take on it.
IT even tests us with their own phishing emails to see if any of us click the dopey links and they send us a recap of how many people actually did it. And some of the test emails are clever too as they'll make it look like one of the VPs is asking for something with their name. So if you dont look hard at the scammy link to see it's bogus, well there you go. Click and get scammed.
You wouldnt imagine how many people click them. I'd say about 3-5% of employees click them. Our office is only about 150-200 people big but their tracker always says around 5-10 people click them.
Who knows. Maybe someone at Insomniac clicked a hacker link and they got in and downloaded all the data.

Eh this leak is whatever. Doesn't do anything negative or positive for me. The only thing is that im sad about is that it happened to Insomniac who has actually been getting shit done this gen. How bout they leak that Factions 2 gameplay. I want to see what some of these devs were so proud about and what we are missing out on since the game isn't coming out anyway. How bout they leak that.

I think the ransomware hack was limited to Insomniac. So likely no leaks about other studios in giant quantities unless the files were also accessible through Insomniac folders(?)

I haven't even been actively interested in gaming for that long and I already internalized the complicated concept that games year or more away from release are going to look different in final state. Amazing, really.

Oh I would and Ive done it myself a few times! I work in security and I have fallen for simulation tests but not for a number of years as I’m now super paranoid
I don’t blame people for that, some of the emails are very sneaky and clever. Some are plain obvious as tests and it’s all about educating users, not to make people feel stupid.
What concerns me is that clicking a phishing link shouldn’t automatically compromise your entire network, they should have a sophisticated DLP (Data Leak prevention) system to counteract extracted data to add to their defence in depth married with EDR and IDS tools etc. I’m shocked that Sony, Rockstar etc etc are not investing HEAVILY in their security as time goes on. I’m sure they are but damn seeing this over and over is bad.
This is not an easy task due to encryption etc. as no doubt this was probably a pretty skilled group and encrypted the data on the way out to make it just seem like legitimate traffic.
Sony obviously didn’t see this as worth paying the ransom for which is really interesting.
