PS Premium Titles leaving February

About a month from now these titles will be removed.

Tacoma
Resident Evil 7
Tekken 7
Ace Combat 7
Oninaki
Lost Sphere
I am Setsuna
Thomas was alone
HUE
Lost Words

So get playing if there's a game you want. You have a month.

Nothing lost for me so thankfully I've at least 2 months to complete Far Cry 6. The ultimate edition upgrade is on sale for €22 atm and that package is normally €120 so if they removed the base game I'd need to rebuy it to access all that.

Happy gaming folks.

You can buy the edition upgrade of a game in ps+ and keep the whole thing when ps+ runs out or the game is removed from ps+?

Finally. So tackling Tekken and Ace Combat it is for me this month. That should leave some time for other games again.

I don't understand what is so hard to always add this info, and always at the same time, within the games coming blog post, or alternatively make a second post, to highlight them even more. Leaving is kinda more important than what's getting added, since it's last chance. At least I plan my gaming time around those and add the maybe even more interesting additions to my backlog for later, when I have extra time or they become the leaving games.
Why do they negotiate these short term contracts? All it does is diminish the value of the service.
Quite the opposite imho. Having all must haves and considered good games always in there, first and third party, would be nice, of course, but it costs money, it probably brings no new subscritions if it would be too static.
I want a rotation of games and not the same 700-800 games all the time, so of course some deals will need to end, in order to have other new deals to replace them and bring some fresh stuff for long subscribers and not bore them. As it is, way too many complain about already having all the new games or some other weird shit, as though Sony has to offer some plan for each and every user to offer actual value. Subs are for buffet gamers, if you want specific games order them a la carte. Plus Essential let's you keep its games, but the upper tiers are temporary rents and should not be treated or expected to be some forever license. Play them while they are in it if you really care about them.

We can't expect them to grow the catalogue forever. Just the streaming side is already insane with all Extra and Premium games being available at once. I mean even assumed with smaller average game sizes of just 10GB multiplied by the number of games it exceeds the standard console storage easily. I guess some convoluted raid system is in place at every center, costing a fortune for the PS5 system, also copying the respective savegame back and forth all the time to the assigned unit is probably quite the challenge.

I with they would figure out a BC solution and get some cool Ps3 stuff on there emulated like Folklore, Motorstorm, Killzone 2, Resistance, ect. That was an important part of PS history and its being ignored

Most of the time it's the publishers choice, they put the games on the service and then hope people like the game enough to buy them when they are taken off, because they make more money off people actually buying the games than they do putting them on PS+

That's just the PS+ essential games (you get to keep those forever if you download or add to library). There is a "Last Chance to Play" list for PS+ E/P if you go to the collections tab on the PS4/PS5 or on the app too I believe.

Why are these Premium? RE7 for example is a PS4 game, not a remake of a PS3 game or anything.

Or is this Extra, and the title is wrong?

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

Extra games are included in the one's leaving. Topic title could use updating.

I think all of the one's below are Extra if I'm not mistaken.

It just needed to update, it's not the fastest but still a good resource.

Damn, smart Sony.

It's like you have a flatrate at the dealer, who gives you a fix every two days, but only until march.
After that date your drug not included anymore, you can try other flatrare drugs, or buy the one you're addicted to for "a discount".
In the end, you spend more money than you'd like and don't even realize it.

Far cry 6 ultimate edition was on my list of games to play so getting the ultimate for €22 is actually spending less then I would.

Already played Far Cry 1, 3, 5 and new dawn recently. Currently playing far cry 2 and after I'll play blood dragon and far cry 6. Played far cry 4 and primal years ago so that's the series complete.

its so stupid that they remove things so shortly after putting them on ps+
i wont renew
Yep, that's one of the things this differientiates PS+ from Game Pass. You have to be quick with titles that interest you, because they may not be available for too long.

I loved it. One of the best OST in a JRPG ever. Plays like Chrono Trigger.

Agreed, but I'm a bit biased since I have played piano for a few decades. Many will find it underwhelming though which I can understand.

Both Setsuna and Lost Sphear get more hate than they deserve. They aren't amazing but I enjoyed them more than quite a few others in the genre.

Their loss. Its a masterpiece OST. I imported a physical copy on CD.
