Don't even need to look at mine. Only had 5 games counted and two of them weren't going to get too many votes. So the people with Deus Ex, Witcher 2, and Bulletstorm are my buddies.

Yeah, that's why I want to implement an alternative weighting scheme that places a higher importance on games that are rarely mentioned. Otherwise titles that "everyone" has on their lists can dominate the selection.

I like Durante's idea to weigh games higher the less overall votes they receive.

Good job tabulating all this. Portal 2 was Valve's best game since Half-Life 2. Totally deserving of the top spot. And a much better winner than last year.

Deus Ex's placement just makes me even more annoyed at having my progress halted by a bug. Awesome game until I got stuck on the helipad in Montreal. Would have been in my top three if not for that.

I proudly present the user affinity list - hipster nerd edition.

Basically, when aggregating it weighs games with the inverse of the square root of the number of mentions the game received. This results in weights like 0.035 for Portal 2, 0.13 for Dead Island and 0.5 for Hyperdimension Neptunia. (I just love making shit up like this)

Personally I find the results of this version more useful, but YMMV.
