I know the game's going to be great, but what I'm looking forward to right now is:

- The CG trailer (all the Assassin's Creed CG stuff is AMAZING)
- The music in the game (same as above)

Hell yeah! I wonder what main angle they are going to take with this one. AC1's was mainly about the concept in general, ACII's was about the location, Brohood's was about the Brotherhood element, and Rev's was about the travel. Of course, they also showed tons of other aspects about each game with the trailers too.

Skipped Revelations due to fatigue from AC1, ACII, and Brotherhood back to back to back, but this one sounds way more interesting. Hunting better be Red Dead Redemption level distracting in that i'll waste hours on it instead of doing missions.

Interestingly, this was about the time when the Antislavery movement in the north started to gain momentum.

i was under the impression that most slaves wanted to join the british, because they were promised freedom at the end of the war?

yup. At least a great many. Not sure the actual break down percentage-wise, since so many slaves of the time were petrified of choosing the wrong side and then facing the repercussions (and many did, btw).

The only Founding Father to join the Abolitionist movement before he died was Benjamin Franklin, even though he spent much of his life slowly evolving to that viewpoint before he got there. He was right at the end of his life too.

Sorry if this has been posted, but I didn't see anything mentioned about this..

Scored this baby tonight at Best Buy! Metal case, all you have to do is plunk down 5 bucks and tax.

Just like the RE4 case.. Doesn't mention anything important on the paper that was stuck on the back of the box. They are using the same case for the PS3 and the 360 versions of the game.

I was shocked too! I just happened to walk over to check out the games and saw it sitting with the other PS3 games. I walked over to the xbox360 section, and they had a few sitting there as well. They also had several over where they have a bunch of new games, in a separate section. Looked like they may have had around 15 or so total.

Sorry for the shitty pics, btw.

It's interesting they're using the comic art so heavily to promote this game. Based on nothing but speculation, I wonder if they'll do another comic series, but one that more directly ties into III.

Be assured Ubisoft is going to transmedia the shit out of this.

Sounds really good. It's coming across as a mix between Brotherhood and Red Dead Redemption.

Can't wait to run around scalping folk and getting in touch with my spirit animal.

Yeah it is a lot of games, but as long as they are quality titles I don't really have a problem with how quickly they are released.

I am not complaining. I think the idea is cool, yearly installments of franchises i like. As you can see Capcom milk me like a lactating heffer.

Considering the iterative and largely repetitive recent AC titles, this is far better than I had imagined was possible. Can't wait.

-You can upgrade Connor's gear and costume as the game goes on in an attempt to make it feel more authentic.

So you're gonna make me work to get out of that stupid hood, huh. Oh well at least there's a way to make that character more authentic.

The rest sounds amazing of course.

Holy fucking shit this has the potential to be incredible. Amazing that nobodys made an epic revolutionary war game yet.

Benedict Arnold was captured by Freemasons by the way. There ought to be a lot of Masonry in this game I would imagine.

Seems as though AC is set to return in top form. Personally, I can't wait. AC3's setting is interesting and the updated gameplay sound great. Love this series.

I'm not sure how well this setting will lend itself to iterative sequels like Brohood and Revelations.

I don't actually think there will be any iterative sequels to this one -- 720 and PS4 will likely be out in 2013, and previous interviews have suggested that Ubi wants to rest the franchise after this entry so they can prepare its next-gen debut -- plus this game will wrap up the Desmond storyline, which won't really leave a good way to handle such sequels.

It will be a cold day in hell before the end their biggest franchise.

I don't know why anyone would think they would end the series, any more than R* would "end" GTA. What they will do is end the Desmond storyline so they can use some other frame device for the next-gen AC4.

Just remember, unless they retcon the lore, George Washington was a Templar. I think Ubisoft will genuinely make things interesting.

I'd certainly prefer it if they keep this detail true, but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't like the art on the steelbox. Something about it hurts my eyes.

Agreed. I like the other GI cover art a lot more.

Where was this said? I didn't play any of the previous AC games and George Washington's page on the AssCred wiki just says he's in possession of an Apple of Eden, nothing about him being a Templar.

This sounds great. One side note: I do hope that they let you dismount a rider by using an American flag to stab the horse, Mel Gibson style.

Really? What's going to happen with the French Revolution? It's begging to be addressed in one more iteration before this generation ends.

There are already pre-orders for this game? It's not due for another 7 months, and this time I might consider the Collector's Edition!!!

Sorry, just getting flashbacks of Altair being boring as FUCK for 90% of the game in AC1, because he's so stoic and serious

Yawn

Tits, revenge, and explosions. That is what I think of when I see Ezio. Altair actually feels like a believable character to me.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Sounds fantastic. It could very well supplant the original as my favourite of the series.
