A dere moment isn't a prerequisite after a tsun moment. How tsun a tsundere is just as much of an appeal of a tsundere character as the dere you get after a tsun for tsundere lovers.

This sounds like a pretty awesome tongue twister. Try saying it three times fast.

It's shounen, main character is voiced by Chiaki Omigawa, I remember I stopped watching it at the last two episodes because one of Duckroll's posts scared me many seasons ago, with that said it does start off good with entertaining characters.

The last two episodes are some of the most mind numbingly terrible shit I've ever seen. The show pretty much went out of its way to troll you for watching up to that point. That said, pretty much everything up to that point is pretty awesome.

I think the journey is generally worth it, even though the destination is shit.

Haha, the omake segments in the recap episode were great. "Don't spoil the story!"

B-b-but it's not like I just understood your post or anything. @_@

I always thought the appeal of the tsundere was because there was two sides to the coin, couldn't we just call her a sadist instead of a tsundere, if there's no soft centre?

Pretty much this. I know that in 'Merica. It's broken in half by Soul collection and Meister collection. Thus, why I said half.

I never read the manga, but I've heard that once it started deviated is when it started turning ugly. Which I can believe as it progressively got worse near endgame. I would watch it done again purely alongside the manga, but alas, it ain't no Full Metal in popularity so I'd doubt that happening.

I didn't even make it to the ending. I remember watching one of those Excalibur episodes and calling it quits.

"Fool!"

well
it certainly fit the show better than whatever style the first one was
pop rock?

I dunno what it was.
I preferred the 2nd as well.

But we should all drop what we're doing and praise the completely unfitting ED 3 as it makes all da heads in da house bob...like a boss.

I was about to call it a night, but after that ending I need the next episode now.

Misaki and Koichi's lonely bonding relationship is really nice. I really enjoyed the lunch scene on the roof.

Is there going to be a more sanely priced release of Fate Zero?

For other fans' sake, I hope so. I don't mind buying pseudo-import stuff (sometimes), but I know it's not really reasonable for most people.

Of course, it's not really reasonable for me either, but since when do hobbies need to be reasonable? :)

so my roommates showed me a short segment of ano Natsu episode 7 and OMG HNNNNNG.

Makes me want to get to that episode ASAP.

Really enjoying Inu X boku though so thanks to everyone for that suggestion.

I agree with this. Their 75/per volume price for Madoka was pushing it, but that was ultimately worth it for the swag. 400 bucks for thirteen episodes and al imited amount of extras is just ludicrous for a US release. For 26 episodes? I might do it though. I hope they consider it.

I didn't mind the anime-original half of Soul Eater, but I had no experience with the manga beforehand. I was still able to recognize that the ending was one of the most terrible asspulls in the history of anime, but it didn't dampen the experience for me. It's a show I have no problem recommending to others but I never see myself watching it again.

I know that ultimadrago already said this, but it bears repeating: the third ED is the most fucking boss thing in existence.

Oh man, this character's voice is like nails on a chalkboard. FUUUUUUUUUU.

Though I must admit, I actually laughed at this moment (spoiler, edit: not really but a disclaimer regardless) during the episode.

This is the exception to that. I'm not referring to this boxset. Literally EVERY other Us anime release has sane pricing except for this. Because if this is the direction they choose to go, I might just leave the hobby.

Would you consider the Madoka LE blu-rays sane pricing? I'm just wondering where the cut-off is.

I suppose hobbies don't need to be reasonably priced, but I think they do so that as many people that want to enjoy them can.

When they're a source of self-worth and you slowly go crazy the longer you can't pursue your hobbies.
fuck unemployment and this economy.

I could ask this question of any Aniplex release, not just their repackaged Japanese BD scams.

Trying to quantify and valuate HNNNNNG is a fool's errand. Leave cajun in his contradiction and let that be that :p

In fairness to Aniplex USA, they do allow you to watch their shows for free through online streaming sites such as Hulu and Crunchyroll. I think more people would be content to do that than spend any money whatsoever on a physical release.

I dunno. I suppose Fate Zero just isnt hnnng enough. Although I just spend....about $230 just getting Saint Tail so maybe its just relative.

At least you get cool stuff with Fate/Zero. Madoka comes out at a premium price for what exactly?

comes with artbox, the BR/DVD set, a soundtrack, reverse cover, 24 page art/info booklet, 2 sided poster, postcards, and kyubey stickers.

Maybe some spoilers for those who haven't watched the series yet.
Fate/Zero TV & BD comparison and some bonus footage.

Heh, seven discs for seven Servants, huh? Poor Rider and Berserker, getting put on the extras. Wonder if the S2 box set will have the seven Masters instead.
He just adapted the manga's designs.
Oh, I realize that, but even in cases based on an existing work they probably add very slight touches of their own style to the design. Mabye. I dunno. I have flipped through a couple chapters of the Mushishi manga before, but I don't remember exactly how close the two are in appearance.

The Madoka LEs have a pretty healthy assortment of bonuses including OSTs and artbooks, but the thing that I think that people take the most issue with is that splitting a 12-episode series into three volumes in a market where releases are generally 12 to 26 episodes each is pretty dirty. Par for the course for Aniplex, but still too much.

Yeah, but you have to pay for both of those services if you want higher than SD quality.

No I dont have a problem with the model itself. Just 400 bucks for half a season seems pretty lol. But 75 bucks for a series in Hidefthat also has the regular DVD, plus a soundtrack, plus artbox, plus artbook and swag, well that makes sense. If Fate Zero had come with more shit maybe I would have bought it too. But its a pretty bare release.

This is in the first 6 minutes of episode 1!![/QUOTE]
I remember the first pic, I don't remember the second one. Then again, the time between my watch of episode 1 and episode 2 is like, three weeks. :P

Hmmm, I don't know how I could have forgotten the second pic.

Edit: Was that kiss a dream sequence for one of the characters?

I think we can agree that the dirtiest thing of all is Aniplex not even bothering to localize some of their products save for a subtitle track. It's lazy in general, but also reveals their cynicism toward their customer base. If you're marketing your product toward rich collector otaku who will buy your product no matter what, why expend anything other than the least amount of effort possible? It seems exploitative.

As for Madoka's value, I only began to collect anime after the industry moved away from the expensive volume format, so I think we'll never see eye-to-eye on that, hah.
