I fixed the Dead Space and Sims links. Hopefully that's all that was wrong, having 20 tabs open makes it confusing.

Edit: And fixed Angry Birds to reflect that it's Star Wars, not Space.

I just finished Act 1 of iesabel. I completed it in 3 sessions and really enjoyed it. For some reason the game pulled me in despite all the jank. My biggest complaint is the framerate, which was all over the place, and went down to single digits during some late-game spells. (graphics settings were set to lowest)

It is a really good action RPG. Looking forward to Act 2 and I hope they optimize performance by the time it comes out.

On a side note, I picked up a piece of armor that literally made my character topless. Tribal armor indeed, lol.

Ugh I spent so much money on iOS games recently... but I am so tempted! It looks a bit like Ghost Trick?

By the way, after all the wows after unveiling of iOS7 the system at places doesn't look mnimal put just plain bare and empty :(

Would you say iOS7 makes Game Center more important for games and gamers? My friend list is empty and sad :(
The iOS 7 bubbles Game Center design kinda grows on you, I think GC overall is better laid out now design-wise and it feels fresh without the felt. I think the new Turns feature will be a nice addition to the async gaming sphere once it's up and running, currently it only shows you an App Store link that goes nowhere (presumably there will be a Turn-based game section once iOS 7 is out publically).

Regarding your lack of friends, look in the OP for the GC member list and start firing off requests, that's what it is there for. :)
New patch came out for Iesabel with more bug fixes. Fixed a quest I was on (Cemetery.)
I really like how frequently this developer applies fixes and updates to this game. Bodes well.

It's overrated imho, I played it on the OXbox and spent most of the time pressing Y to make the light sabres spin around...

IMHO, it's one of the best games ever. Easily my favorite RPG. Anyone who hasn't played it owes it to themselves to buy it at 4.99. Such a shame that the sequel was rushed by Obsidian and soooo buggy, though it had a great story as well.

Bit the bullet and picked up Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2 today, just cause I want a portable version and this is the only option in North America.

I've talked myself out of buying this for a year or so now but I finally needed to play it on the go.
I can't see it feeling worth $15 to most unless, like me, you need a portable fix of this game.

The game translates well to iOS from the originals with one exception, you can't order reinforcements into a battle. If you can, I haven't figured out how to do it.
Good planning helps.

Other than that I'm having fun with it and I have no regrets.

Turning rivals against one another through espionage and sweeping in to forge new alliances on the mistrust you've sown is such a great feeling.

Having this game portable is good enough for me regardless of the unusually high price (compared to other iOS games).

If you are a casual game player or just not into Koei's strategy games there isn't much that will feel worth the price of entry to you.

tbh I'd say it was good for the time but has aged poorly and so you need to view it through the lens of the time to get the most out of it. Most of the actual playing of the game was rather full - running through big empty spaces, very uninvolving combat outside of some massive difficulty spike, very dry presentation. The story was good but outside of THE TWIST was very predictable and black and white.

There were a few great spots though. I loved the trial on Manaan even though I lost it, and some of the characters were interesting and/or amusing,

But still, it's very much a rudimentary experience, and I can see how the Mass Effect games improved on the formula in most possible ways over the course of the series.

Threads were fun whilst they lasted, and props to Tunesmith to putting them together; but any future ones will just feel hollow, pointless and going through the motions [without the Zumba Dance style!].

This will be the death of console gaming for sure.

Not actually that important
That's it, I'm done with WARHAMMER QUEST for the time being :(

Even with the latest update it crashed 5 times in the last couple of hours, every time in the middle of a heat battle with my dwarf about to strike. On Mini, btw. Doesn't help the fact that game is über repetitive, with only 5 or 6 different lame ass enemies at the 8 hours mark.

Also, I still dunno how to find put some more stats, my dwarf misses constantly, why? Where's his hit % stat and how to improve? And what the fuck does the +immobility stat on some armor do?

Just completed Tiny Thief with all achievements.

Simply brilliant.
I LOVED every second of the 8 hours or so it took me to complete it.
A fantastic and fresh experience, super cute, clever and hilarious.
Last levels were outstanding.
I really hope for more levels with the same kind of maniacal attention to details.

For some reason, it remembered me Ghost Trick.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?

I hope you both love it as I did.
Be sure to 3 star everything (I usually hate 3 stars games...but here every star is a game on itss own...think it as additional puzzles).
As already said...be warned the first half of the game is dumb easy (but still adorable).
Some levels are memorable.

I've worked my way much farther into the game and I've gone from thinking this is a neat little title, to this is actually a really cool game. The scenarios get much more involved. There's even a couple levels I wasn't able to find that damn ferret yet... I don't know about the Ghost Trick comparison. I didn't like the Ghost Trick demo I played. Maybe Tiny Thief is Ghost Trick without the boring ass walls of text:)

Day one for me! Anyone else?

Nice. Between the Steam sale and all these iOS game I keep piling up, why do I have a PS4/Xbox One pre-ordered for the fall? I'll never play even half this... :(

i just finished a game i liked called Tiny Thief. It's a stealth point-and-click adventure. Lots of charm. Good puzzles and humor. Released by Rovio Stars

Holy shit Sine Mora iOS?!
edit: Damn, €5.49!

Waiting to know how it runs on Mini and how it compares to PC/XBLA

Probably an accidental release....description in appshopper doesn't bode well for NOT latest devices, but apparently (according to some people that got the game before it was pulled, not me) the port is stellar....the real deal with great controls.
I guess it's coming out next week.

Yeah, me too.
I never liked Ghost Trick that much either.

To be honest first levels of Tiny Thief reminded me the Angry Birds formula more than a point&click experience...probably because of the straightforward nature of the single stages.
But later on the game, thanks to multy screens and much more complex stages plus a more tight arch story, really was like a condensed mini point&click adventure in the vein of Day of the Tentacle and similar experiences...
I LOVED some of last levels (Lost temple, the shaman, the wizard, the cemetery...)

VERY EARLY IMPRESSIONS (never tried the game on other platforms).

Game looks and plays great on iPad 3 (I guess on normal because high and ultra doesn't stick in the options)...graphics is incredible.
Game is letter boxed (heavily) with controls on the bottom black bar.
Controls are precise, even if sometimes not that precise as I wanted (I'm already on chapter 3)....tempted to buy those plastic joysticks you apply on your screen (more because my finger is stuck on the screen than anything).
No relative controls, just a joystick (works well tbh).
Story is INCOMPRENSIBLE...maybe it's just my poor English (yeah I know spoken text is Hungarian) but I can't understand anything reading the texts...why I'm constantly changing pilot? And aircraft?
Am I trying to kill one by one the crew that dropped the bomb?
I've no clue.
Probably I'm missing something BIG.

Facebook link does nothing...probably it still doesn't work.
I wonder if it syncs among devices somehow...I'll try on iPhone 4S when the download has finished.

Anyway the game is great and FRANTIC, with some of the most crazy bullet patterns I ever saw, not to mention those very über Japanese bosses.
I really like the time mechanic and the 16:9 smaller view, even if I wished to get rid for the normal fire button...and have just the time capsule and the secondary weapon (btw...some secondary weapons are just incredible).

The underwater levels are simply unbelievable with all those mines in the background and softened sounds.
Back playing.

EDIT:I just noticed the devs are active on TA, already explained why the game was briefly pulled and why the waring for 4th gen devices...a positive sign.

EDIT2: Despite the warning, the game plays and looks great even on iPhone 4S, at least the beginning.
Text is super tiny (Warhammer quest tiny).
No sync is a bummer tough.
No GC either.

I don't think much of Angry Birds, but Rovio Stars is off to a fantastic start.

I loved Icebreaker as a Flash game years ago, and the iOS released has been fleshed out and infused with great amounts of charm.

Tiny Thief looks to be a good time as well. Will definitely be checking that out next.

Also, the controls for this game on iOS are fucking HORRIFIC, stay the fuck away people (virtual joystick stuck in left bottom corner).
Looks nice, I think, I can't see shit because the game's so zoomed out and it's letter-boxed, even on an 16:9 screen as can be seen in my screenshot of the menu. iPad looks nicer since it's larger but the controls are still abysmal there (hello wrist fatigue).

$5.99 down the drain until they implement
1) Touch to move like Cave's shooters
2) Game Center Leaderboards
3) Remove letterboxes on an iPhone 5's 16:9 screen, there are more elegant solutions to this touch control scheme than a row of buttons on the bottom..

Submitted this review on iTunes:
Lazy port that controls poorly, looks nice

The Leaderboards throw up connection errors about being unable to connect to.. XBOX LIVE. Yep. (It's actually trying to connect to Facebook, but that doesn't work).

No Game Center leaderboards or achievements even though the game has both features gameplay-wise carried over from it's Xbox 360 origin.

The controls are a disaster in their current form, an imprecise virtual joystick stuck in bottom left corner along with a row of buttons for firing. The Developer should take lessons from CAVE CO., LTD on how to do iOS shoot-em-up controls.

The game is letter boxed even on a 16:9 iPhone 5 screen. Leading to a very narrow view-port of the game; with a proper control scheme this would not be needed.

Redeeming features: Graphics still looks nice and the game seems to runs fine (iPhone 5/iPad 3), the music is also very competently made.

Overall a very lazy port from Xbox 360. Fix these issues and you have a great shoot-em-up game on iOS but as it stands it's a very poor example. Not recommended unless patched.

LOL at Live connecting error :D

To be honest, I'm not finding the controls so horrible, on the contrary...nor I'm disturbed by the aspect ratio...probably the original assets.
I'm in chapter 3 and I found them pretty spot on.
I'm not a huge shoot me up expert and I'm not fond of cave shooters (too many bullets...I prefer to shoot to enemies than avoid bullets), but I'm really enjoying Sine Mora so far.
I'll see if I'll be able to complete the game.
Right now I'm hitting a huge difficulty spike tough.

As a huge CAVE shooter fan, and being accustomed to good shmup iOS controls through them, this port of Sine Mora is an abomination. We're on opposite sides of the spectrum on this one in regards to this port.

(Get the PC release people, it's $2.99 on steam at the moment with full gamepad support)

Eh you are clearly a pro and I'm a newbie in the genre for sure...the last shooters I played were Menace and R-Type on Amiga probably, excluding Darius Burst on iOS (which I loved).
To be honest I encountered a huge difficulty spike now where controlling the ship in a very narrow cave is really difficult, but overall I'm really enjoying the game.
I must mention that graphics is really fantastic, and I love these kind if things.

This to me, still looks like a poor man's MMS (modern military shooter) version of Frozen Synapse. Their gameplay demos haven't impressed me much. Pass unless proven brilliant.

Hardly a pro. :D

The controls the game currently employs are just an enormous disservice to the genre and the game itself. The graphics have also been quite heavily downgraded from it's 360/PC equivalents, they're pretty good but not great. I haven't been able to see any official promo footage from this game of the iOS version, and that's quite telling.

Really? That is a shame, was interested in picking it up. Thanks for the heads up.

Really looking forward to this game, seems like a perfect fit for iOS.

Wow, looks very good. Also should compete strongly with Iesebel for the hardest to pronounce game on ios.
