Really curious to see my country's numbers. It feels like no one buys xboxes here. At least stores don't have a single ps5 avaliable but you see xboxes for sale at every store's flyers.

Yeah, but that's only because of the quantities put on the market, it clearly seems that the series (and mostly the PS5) should have done really better if more unit were available because the demand for these products is clearly higher than it was 7 years ago for the previous consoles

Don't worry, Sony already signed on to pay Microsoft for Azure. So you don't have to worry about Amazon, Google, etc.

Apparently they're Nintendo crazy over there.

Video game culture in France is strongly tied to japanese pop culture. I hear it's also the case in Spain and Italy.
Animes and mangas have been very popular here since the 80s, much more than in anglo-saxon countries.

Thus japanese imagery in video games is more popular here, and so are Nintendo and Sony.

Both companies launched consoles in more markets. PS5 has better yields and Sony can produce more PS5s. Looks like PS5 wasn't a problem for Sony since it was sold-out everywhere and also clearly outsold high PS4 numbers. It's MSs problem to launch a XS in more countries but they clearly couldn't produce more.
