ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
A five-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed himself Tuesday afternoon, according to Orange County deputies.

Investigators said the child somehow fired the gun inside the family's vehicle in a parking lot around 4:00 p.m.

The child was driven to Florida Hospital East where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies said the weapon belonged to a family member.

Investigators said the shooting appeared to be accidental and will now be turned over to the State Attorney's office.

Good work Florida. This happens way too often. Just a couple weeks ago there was a story about a 4 year old girl who accidentally shot and killed herself in Tampa while looking for candy in her grandma's purse. And when looking for that story I found a story from July of another 4 year old from Tampa who shot himself. Christ people, lock up your goddamn guns.

DAs never file charges in these insistence’s since the death of the child is considered tragic enough. Not that I agree, but I’ve never seen a charge go through on accidental discharge.
