Looking atTHIS site, it looks like, for $100 less, the GeForce 6800 is just slower than the Ultra by very little.

This card, for the money (I've never bought a High-end card in my life) better play this game flawlessly, that's all I have to say.

With this card added, I'll have:

Pentium 4 2.8ghz HT
1gig Dual Channel DDR Ram
GeForce 6800 GT

That better play this game as smooth as butter in fog.

You should get good frames with that card at 1280 X 1024.

Yup, get it from eVGA directly.

They're a pretty good manufacturer and their trade-up program rocks. You can trade up to a newer card within 90days of purchase -- just pay the difference (make sure you keep all the packaging/docs/etc).

I got me a 6800np today for Doom3, and if I get my job, I may go Ultra in 3 months.

My total order was like $317 2-day shipping for a 6800np Not bad considering it comes with FarCry

Order it before 3pm Pacific Time, and it ships that day


I have to say, the 6800 line of cards is pretty smoking. Not only does it perform on par (if not better) than their ATi counterparts, but it's new tech to boot, with SLI and PS3 support.
