Pikmin 2 made the list what a surprise pretty good list IMO a couple of questionable selections but what list doesn't?

I've never restricted myself to any console! Naturally I have very clear preference from gen to gen, because usually whatever has the best third party support also has the best games!

Classic Arcade: Galaxians
Runner up: Lady Bug

First generation consoles: Venture (Colecovision)
Runner up: Smurf (Colecovision)

8-bit consoles / home computers: Gradius 2 (MSX)
Runner up: Elite (multi)

16-bit consoles / home computers: Turrican 2 (Amiga)
Runner up: didn't own a SNES

Modern Arcade: Gradius II
Runner up: Afterburner

Last generation consoles: Silent Hill
Runner up: Galerians

Golden PC era: Privateer
Runner up: Ultima VII

Current generation consoles: Gradius V
Runner up: Gitaroo Man
