PC is already all in on digital so I dgaf but this is the dumbest excuse I've heard for not having a physical release yet.

Just admit you’re cheap and be done with it.

This isn’t an excuse. You can always release the ‘polished’ digital version and then a physical version a month or two later.

Digital only is what people predicted like 12 years ago dude

However in 7th gen:
-The Wii never got games with digital releases as wasn't build with HDD
-Games on Xbox 360 with multiple discs couldn't have digital releases in first year:

Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon are now available for digital purchase

If anything, in 7th gen it wasn't mandatory to have games with digital releases.

In previous gen, it was mandatory to have with digital releases at day one
