You know that Apple has their own games service, Apple Arcade that does just the opposite of that.
For $5/month (or included with Apple One)you get access to 200 plus games, all without ads/IAP.

“What is Apple Arcade?
Apple Arcade is a game subscription service that offers unlimited access to a growing collection of over 200 premium games — featuring new releases, award winners, and beloved favorites from the App Store,
all without ads or in-app purchases. You can play Apple Arcade games on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple TV.”
As for the OP, it doesn’t sound plausible that Apple would do this. You can already use your iphone/ipod/ipad to play mobile games and ios is compatible with Xbox one/Xbox series/DS4/Dualsense controllers to use in games that support them.
