Arm Chair Analysis: How GAF and others overreact on Nintendo every single time.

Where in his post did he say that Nintendo is doomed?
This "Nintendo is doomed" nonsense to stifle every form of critique towards Nintendo is just childish.

That's basically what you're suppose to get out of the graph. Nintendo is doomed because they don't sell as much on their online storefront as Sony (which is kind of vague as is). Even the language used (fairly damning) is supposed to convey that Nintendo is doomed for this one specific reason. There's a lot to talk about when it comes to financial information but it's complicated and most of the time nobody knows what they're talking about most the time. Even the OP who works in finances and presented his argument with nuance are getting these reactionary armchair responses which he was against in the first place.

No, that was your take from the graph ,and the reaction of plenty of Nintendo fans who if you don't praise their company they jump to the extreme of, "your saying its doomed"

The graph pretty simply shows how one company has implemented a digital storefront and is driving their users to purchase movies, games, and services from them, and the other, has not. And has Sony used shitty practices to get there like Charging for online? sure, but look at the results.

If we had microsofts numbers i'm pretty sure they would also show a growth in their digital and storefront revenues.

Digital percentage of sales, and DLC is going up year on year, and yet nintendo is not heading in that direction, at an expected velocity.

They need to get a good robust online infrastructure, that drives their customers to it, on a regular basis just like Sony has - thats the take from the graph, do you disagree?
