Bayonetta 3 Has An Optional Censorship Mode

This is a smart way to avoid censorship. Make no sense having to censor a rated M game, rating is there for a reason, but considering times we are living in, I'm not surprised. Also, calling the mode "Naive Little Angel" is a nice touch lol

Btw crazy to think that this is going to censor some inches of female skin here and there, and not all the violence, about no one give a shit. Perfect showcase of this age.

What Era mod is this?

This is probably the ideal route to go rather than directly changing assets based on potential regional sensitivity. It won't eliminate the usual complaints/thread shitting, but should ideally dampen it as they have options now.
Not sure what you mean with " regional sensitivity" , but this is obviously not a solution for problem of rating. The game will still get a " partial nudity" score and relative rating even if you have the possibity to eliminate it from the game, as long as is present on the code.

My colleague ask if you can send a link to the original video for research purposes. He's trying to get his Masters.

It's just the first gif I found on giffy when I wrote shaking boobs or something like that. I would also like to know what it's from for research purposes. As in, I'd like to research whether or not all of her hair is red.

Anna Smenovich is the the woman in the clip though.

Seems pretty pointless tbh.
Third game in the series. I think people know what to expect.

Also it's never enough. The people who complain will continue to complain.

Fujiko Mine is the female love interest on the long-running Lupin III anime. She's been a symbol of natural female beauty, femininity, sexuality, and female empowerment since the 1960s.

I mean Madonna's been around since the 50's, that's not saying a lot.

Thank goodness. The absurd over sexualization of the Bayonetta series is part of its charm. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and neither should anyone else. You can’t win with some of these people. Same fucking losers that talk about sex and body positivity will complain about pixelated cleavage. Makes no sense.

Of course they will. It's Bayonetta after all. There will be endless REEEEEEEEE'ing about "hypersexualization", "male gaze", and "misogyny" in the usual circles, as there is any time Bayonetta is brought up.
Boy was there a lack of indignation when Hot Ryu showed up.

I’m all for both. Don’t give a shit about hypersexualized women because there’s plenty of girls who love it. I want more hypersexualized men too, it great. Sex is awesome.

Also:

Reminds me of the old blood cheatcode for Nintendo mortal Kombat.
Anyway, Bayo exists to supply M rated content for Nintendo. It does its duty.

Yeah, the game will be rated Mature regardless of this option as the overall rating will be based on what is accessible through the game like you mentioned. By regional sensitivity, I mean countries/regions where content like this has the potential to generate more criticism than usual from the media and users (Positive and Negative).

I do hope that Platinum will eventually release the percentage of copies that enable this versus those that leave it off by default. Would definitely be interesting to see as I would expect this option to rarely be used by the majority of people playing this game.

You can look for game for girls for that.

Good move, but you’d think in a sensible world, at some point past 16 a person shouldn’t have to “explain” a game like Bayonetta to a casual onlooker anymore than that casual onlooker should “explain” the trash TV program they very likely watch more than once in a blue moon. If Bayonetta embarrasses you as an adult, it’s you who have issues.

That's usually how it goes here. Cherry pick posts, circle jerk each other for internet pats on the back.
Please. That place is an embarrassment to humanity. Those posts absolutely have to be cherry picked because that kind of mentality is what the site was founded upon and prides itself about. That community fought long and hard to deserve the kind of treatment it rightfully gets here. The occasional good stuff that gets posted there will never not be deserving of a better place. Stop pretending there’s any merit to REE.

I bet people still find way to complain, they always do.
You know they will, and thet will still bitch about this. Because it was never about the games or the media, it's about control.
They don't really care for themselves they care that you look at the content, they are thr types that like bans, censorship, deplatforming, persecuting heresy... Errr wrongthink for whatever delusional 'x'phobia they label you. It's never enough.

That group doesn't want options, they want to limit yours and your enjoyment. They want to flip the script and our total existence to their backwards world view. Authoritarians who dont think they are that way. The same people who mock freedom, free expression and freespeech (how many times have you seen "don't care about your freedumb or freeze peach" from these asshat censors.

They don't care about the rules. We have a ratings board and a M game should have everything outside of outright physical sex or pornagraphy, that's what an "ao" rating is for or a "X" for movies. If they did this wouldnt even be necessary.

You ever wonder why the religious from the 80s and 90s shut up after the ratings board was in effect? Because it set up rules. Gta and such was an M rated game and as long as parent knew about it it was OK. They formed websites for parents to know what was in other games if they were appropriate for kids or teens and it worked and still works. They can regulate what their kids play or watch without forcing change on the artistic expression and allowing adults to make up their own minds.

The 2014 Era new breed of reset Era/twiiter blue check type censors don't care about personal choice or expression. They care about sticking it to the top of their progressive stack ladder of oppression. To force their views on you. Flip society. It's not about them its about them controlling what you see so you think like them or get shamed, shunned, labeled a heretic.

Mark my word they will still complain about this.

Remember: It will never be good enough.
This illustrates my point beautifully. It's not about them wanting less nudity (they are the same ones who would be cheering if she had a strap on teaching a kindergarten class naked), it's about them controlling what people like and find appealing. It's about control and limiting your enjoyment along with subverting society.

This mode would be a boon to parents of teens, but really if you are letting your kid play this in the first place, an m rated game, it wouldn't matter as most parents would just not let them have the game until older.

I bet the only people who will like this are men who fake feminism to get a girlfriend /wife etc and have a hard core feminist mate so they have to put on the "good boy" mode. Or parents who want to play while their kids are awake.

Yes, they don't like freethinking over there.
