Not sure if it means there's any hope for a show in the coming days, as it likely won't brighten THAT much, but it's interesting, to say the least. We'll find out over the next hours and days.

Not sure who this particular account is representing (doesn't seem to be anyone at NASA, at least), but someone named @SungrazerComets says "Alright we're calling it, and you heard it here first: We believe some small part of #ISON's nucleus has SURVIVED perihelion."

From what I can see, the guy behind that Twitter account is an astrophysicist based at the Naval Research Laboratory DC, who operates the NASA-funded Sungrazing Comets Project - so related to NASA, at least.

Sounds interesting, for sure. My dashed hopes are rising again, cautiously.

It's disappointing that it didn't make it. Especially after they've spent the past year hyping it up so much.

Didn't know this comet was made by Team ICO. Make more sense now.
