Daycare Scares kids

Look at those people.... Those kids should have already been desensitized toward the scary mask.

Seriously, though. Child abuse.
Put them in prison, and put them on a registered list for whenever they get out so they can't be around kids again.

Yeah, it’s really not…
I agree it's horrible and these people need punished. They are scum of the earth.

If you forget about the poor little kids and look at the fat ugly old ladies running around with masks on it made me chuckle. Then Once I watched it I felt bad for the kids.

Imagine picking up your kid from daycare and them telling you they did that... Would you not wreck the place, fuck me I'd be utterly ragin, parental instincts is a fucking strong emotion, I got banned from sports day for going over and giving a teacher a fucking mouthful for ignoring two older kids pushing my kid about, wife was horrified but da fuk am I letting that shit slide, can't imagine what I'd do hearing this shit

Yeah, glanced at it yesterday. Think the person actually got convicted and will do time for it. Crazy shit all around, really.

yeah, I’m guessing these daycare workers are bitter people who are totally annoyed by the kids at this point and getting a little revenge. Definitely stupid behavior.

They make shit money and are slaves to these pooping, screaming babies, who come from nicer homes than they did.
So they dislike them.

I’ve seen the type of people daycares will hire. It’s not hard to work at them. You don’t need much experience. There are the occasional gems but a majority of them don’t seem to want to be there.

Obviously this is an extreme situation but I’m not surprised. You’ll find all types working at these places.

I remember my mom waking me up one time while wearing my Cryptkeeper mask. It scared the living crap out of me lmao and she occasionally teases me about it to this day... but I was like 8 years old and I was fine. These kids look like they are 4...

But seriously yeah that's pretty fucked up, specially with such young kid. I don't get how any of them thought this was a good idea.

As a father this is really hard to watch. Don't think jail time is the answer, but these people should absolutely lose their childcare license. They have no business taking care of people's little ones. I could forgive them if they were stupid enough to put on that mask, but the second the toddlers lose their minds they'd immediately take off the mask and think "Oops. Fuck, maybe that was too much." But the fact that they continued to terrify them and even go as far as to chase and grab them? That's psychotic behavior.

Crazy story.

Who would ever think people would get arrested for scaring kids. Dont get me wrong I think it makes sense.

Good to see these people called out in names and pictures.

Dude, it's a bad Halloween joke. I cannot believe the ridiculous exaggeration in this thread. The very worst they should get is fired. They're literally just trying to do seasonal holiday activities with the kids. They don't touch them. They're doing super light, super minimal Halloween prank shit. This is someone that's putting extra effort into trying to interact and engage with the kids. Someone who doesn't care would just ignore them. I'm pretty sure the kids are going to recover without permanent damage.

The problem is they continued, instead of taking the mask off and comforting the kids, when the kids became terrified.

So fire them. They will have learned their lesson. That's it. It's a fucking Halloween mask. It's not even a particularly scary one.

Good intentions don't matter to a child who doesn't know anything.

All they see is something scary in front of them.

Do you guys think this Easter bunny should get 3 felony charges? Just wondering. This is a serious question.

What about a mascot at a sporting event? Misdemeanor?

What about dressed up workers at Disney World. Jail only if the kid cries?

Yes it's fine to demolish and scar the psyche of a child in pursuit of a cheap laugh when they're in a supposedly situation of trust and nurture.

We should grow the fuck up as a species when ITT we're pointing hands at individuals that echo an upbringing and culture from which they operate ffs

What was scary to me is that there was a daycare here in my state that had a guy arrested over child porn. The man had operated over the course of a couple years. No one knew about it. So many children were his victims and God only knows how many pictures were sent over the internet or wherever.

Stuff like this is awful. Scaring kids who will wet themselves, develop nightmares, and stress is harmful on their developing bodies. I would get my kids out of that daycare immediately. Stuff like this might cause a permanent scar. They might even need therapy.

Inappropriate? Probably. A fucking felony? No. Unless there is more Im not seeing in the video it’s just some dummy in a mask walking around going BOO.

Sounds like these hicks are angling for some kind of lawsuit.

Youre arguing in bad faith. The Easter Bunny is not meant to be scary nor was the person trying to scare the children.
You don't know the intention of these workers either. Looks to me like they spent their own money on something for super mild, seasonal activities and probably thought it would be fun. This is literally what you do on Halloween. The mask isn't even slightly inappropriate. Any of the kids could have shown up dressed with this on for Halloween.

And the person up above you literally said that intentions don't matter, so the Easter Bunny is supposedly fair game if the kid gets scared. I'm not arguing in bad faith. I'm pointing out that the standards you guys are arguing for are psychotic. It's a HALLOWEEN MASK. Why would an Easter Bunny be any different? The costume for the Easter Bunny is even more elaborate and potentially terrifying. All these workers had is a mask.

You are absolutely arguing in bad faith despite your denials and the day care workers absolutely intended to scare the children with the Halloween masks. I can hardly believe youre arguing there is no difference between the Easter Bunny and a Halloween mask intended to be scary. Why even are most horror movies rated R in that case?

It's a matter of intention, perspective and the individual psyche of those at the receiving end that matters.

In good trust I believe no Ill will was perse intended seeing it's indeed something cultural with all it entails.

(Why am I explaining this ffs)

Certain, if not most, children aren't cognitively developed around this age to separate real from role play. And even if they were it's probably confusing to them.

From our adult perspective this is harmless and even fucking comedic in some sense.

Around this age trust is fundamental in a child's psyche. To have this sort of scare in a supposedly save environment could be detrimental in developing trust in adult relationships.

Ffs this is psychology 101 lmao

Literally no point responding to anything you said if you can't take my response at face value. I literally can't be any more transparent then literally writing in the post "this is a serious question." Meaning, before you said anything I specifically typed that I was being serious and genuine with the question.

But cool, you get to read my mind more than I can speak to my intentions. And you get to read the minds of the childcare workers as well. Sounds like you've got an unfalsiable argument then, so congrats on your win.

He said they should lose their childcare license. Which is ridiculous. Honestly.

What if you take your kids to trick or treat and the person answers in a scary costume for fun? Do you guys call the cops? You guys need to get a grip.
Nobody in a scary costume answering the doorbell chases kids, makes them cry and films it. Even dumber is it's a daycare centre and a 5 person coordinated effort.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. They get exactly what they deserve. They did that shit to my boy and they'd wished they got charged with a felony.

I'm 100% sure they saw the recent viral video of the chinese children being scaried at school and thought that was a good idea - the difference was that the other video was somewhat funny and actually taught a lesson to the kids.

There’s a difference pranking your son or niece than you pranking someone randoms kid in a place they’re meant to feel safe. It’s already hard for some parents to put their kids in daycare/kindergarten. They do not need unnecessary trauma when going to somewhere that isn’t home. Will be harder for them to trust strangers for a while. Why should the parents have to deal with this bullshit by some inbred looking women?

Also they did touch the children.
