REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today announced preliminary financial results for its fourth fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2015.

We introduced award-winning games, delivered enduring entertainment in our live services, and forged deeper relationships with a growing global audience across consoles, mobile devices and PC,” said Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson. “EA continues to sharpen our focus and speed, and in the year ahead we will engage more players on more platforms with new experiences like Star Wars Battlefront, FIFA 16, Minions Paradise and more.”

Looking forward, we anticipate continued earnings growth driven by our strong portfolio, investment in new IP, the market shift to digital, and on-going cost discipline.”

Is this what they do when sales numbers arent what they hoped for?

No their results are fantastic so they feel no need to release actual numbers.

It's also because so much of the revenue is digital instead of physical and thus less quantifiable like "10 million units sold".

Ah okay, still weird.

The thing is that EA is doing well while not being completely awful, like golden poo awful, at the same time, which is a good thing. I wonder if they keep up or go back again being the EA we know and dislike.

Ultimate team modes are a great driver for them. Its May and I'm still playing madden due to ultimate team. In three months 16 releases and I'll be just as hooked, and I'll have to start from scratch.

Apparently EAs success wasnt driven by Titanfall... no mentions anywhere. Even BF4 and FIFA 14 got mentions.

Disappointing numbers if you ask me. I was expecting at least 1.51 billion zombie vanquishes and 26.252526 million universities built. I wonder how they plan to fix these issues.

Honestly though, that upcoming lineup looks very disappointing. More of the same, a lot more with no new ideas anywhere to be found.

As a gamer I agree, but it seems that EA has become a rock solid company to invest in the last 2/3 years. If I could buy more stock from them I would have a long time ago. But now is to expensive to do so.

When did they drop Steam support? Their PC revenues consistently dropping.

I'd argue BF4's very flawed release burned some bridges for them and hurt PC sales going forward. You also had Sim City 2013, a big PC only title, making every year after 2013 look worse as well.

I think Battlefront will be the best selling game on consoles this year, even beating COD. Star Wars fever will be strong this fall.

Assuming EA Access revenues are listed under Subscription, not seeing a huge bump there post-launch.

Doesn't seem to be a significant increase in Full Game Download sales after EA Access launch either.

So while EA Access might be doing okay and could be beating EA's internal forecasts, doesn't seem to be having a huge impact on the financials.

Of course, not seeing any detail on the line prevents good analysis.

I don't see how it could, it is used by a percentage of the smaller XB1 userbase

Fantastic service though, Sony is a lost cause but hopefully they make a similar PC model
