95% of that stuff ain't exclusive. The PS2 has more total games coming out than any system, GBA included.
Please, let me in on the 95% then. ;)

GC has quality...GBA has quantity...but PS2 has BOTH. Therefore, PS2 wins. :p
Not in this thread. We're talking numbers here.

Whoops! Fixed. :)

That GBA list is EXTREMELY appalling. I wouldn't want to even touch more than 5% (if that) of those games...

Ugh, you aren't seriously excited by that list are you?!?!
I'm in the same position, this fall's GBA lineup is weak compared to last year. Still there's a few bright spots... Guardian Heroes, Shaman King, Gundam, Boktai and pretty much all of Nintendo and Capcom's lineups. :)

As far as Killer 7 goes: nothing in the E3 press kits says 2005; regardless, there may have been an official delay announcement, but I didn't hear it if there was.

RE4 has not been delayed. Harvest Moon's release was announced as Q4 2004. And you're right - Amazing Island is indeed at the very end of August.

RE4 has not been delayed.

I hope you are right...

However, whenever rumors start to fly around about delays they almost always seem to come true. HL2 is the greatest examples of this, of course...but it has happened many times before.

Yeah, sadly, at this point, I wouldn't be at all surprised at an RE4 delay. It seems like there's just too much whispering going on all over the place, and even Capcom made that ambiguous, "Oh, we only ever said Winter," statement. Smells like a delay to me.

Also, it's really doubtful that Geist is a 2004 title. Even Nintendo Power has it slated for 2005.

In any case...

Frothing Demand (must-have):

PS2:
Metal Gear Solid 3
Under The Skin
Chulip
Guilty Gear Isuka

Gamecube:
Donkey Konga
Paper Mario 2
Metroid Prime 2
Star Fox

Mild Curiosity (Take-it-or-leave-it)

PS2:
Sly 2
Monster Hunter
Blood Will Tell (maybe)
Kuon
Megaman X8
Wild Arms:Alter Code F
Neo Contra
Devil May Cry 3

Gamecube:
Baten Kaitos
Resident Evil 4

XB:
Fable
Call of Cthulhu (maybe)
SNK vs Capcom

Where's Kameo in all this? Wasn't it 2004?

The most likely situation there is that NP's writer screwed up under intense E3 deadline. I pressed Nintendo for info about Geist at the NYC event in June and they said it was absolutely on for Q4 2004.

Interesting.

Part of me hopes you're right, as I think this game looks like it could be a really fun concept to play with, but another part of me is hoping for a delay so it can be polished up a lot more. From what I understand, it was still very rough (but promising) at E3.

I wouldn't be shocked by a delay for either game. I'm just pointing out that at this time, there haven't been any announcements for either, and the official dates are Q4 2004 for both.

Plus you have to remember that E3 code is generally past its sell-by date even when you're there playing it; they had to finalize the demo version well before E3 took place, and then went promptly back to work on it. We really have no way of knowing what state it's in right now.

Now somebody should list all the games that will be on PS2 and Xbox but not on the Cube

I'll start with:

Star Wars: Battlefront
Mortal Kombat: Deception
The Bard's Tale
Crash'N'Burn

No thanks. Far too many and there's absolutely no point except to bash the GC.

bah.. you're no fun. But there is a point to it all since the PS2/XB games are typically better on XB. For XB owners there usually isn't a dilema about which version they'll get.

Halo2 > *

No, not really. No confirmation of any kind at any time. Speculation by a single analyst who's TTWO estimates have been as wrong as they could be.

Anybody have anything concrete at all on GTA:SA going to the Xbox. We all know it's going to happen, but who knows when.

Actually, December isn't 'fall" either. If you discount late August releases, December releases should probably be cut also.

LOL. You just can't win.

Out of the thread " Exclusive releases this Fall(Per Platform)

People have picked apart every single part of this thread: Exclusive, releases, this fall, and the per platform part.

Holiday season is generally November through January. The fourth quarter is October through December. I'm not sure September through December is anthing but an arbitrary grouping...

Well, when using arbitrary (read: incorrect) definitions of "exclusive" and "this fall" that tends to happen. ;)

If you count Fable as a holiday release, then you can count Pikmin 2, because it'll be available in September, it's just shipping in August (my Best Buy will start selling it Sept. 4th)...

If you are going to take EB's word on RE4 being a February release, then you can take their word on these two:

Mario Tennis
Mario Party 6

being December 6th releases, no?

Huh? Many of the games you quoted aren't anywhere near being exclusive to GBA. Just a few examples: Madden NFL 2005, FIFA Soccer 2005, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Dead to Rights, The Fast and the Furious, Pac-Man World: 20th Anniversary, Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness (these last two were on the original PlayStation), and several others.

They're all new versions based loosely on existing games. Madden or FIFA on GBA isn't the same as the console versions... actually they're not even the same as PSOne or NGage versions.

No game on the GBA is the same as a console version, unless you go back to the SNES / NES. Even when they're released concurrently, you'd swear they had nothing to do with each other. It's not exclusivity, it's because the GBA has the obvious restrictions relative the the PSOne/PS2/GCN/Xbox
