Well the FTC could ask for contingencies about Bungie in writing. Jason seems to believe Microsoft should be forced to offer COD to other platforms in perpetuity. Which is nonsense imo.
Isn't Bribing illegal?
Didn’t Sony already talk about that?
I mean do you really have to wonder?... Activision is 4 times bigger than Bungie. Drama and Activision are becoming synonymous, every week a new lawsuit...It’s pretty silent in here compared to the other thread about FTC.

Of course this isn't as much of a big deal. If you think a $3 billion acquisition is going to create the same sorts of problems and demand the same level of scrutiny as a $70 billion acquisition, then I don't know what to tell you.People won't make a big deal about this one coz reasons.

It will most likely go through, yes, but after a tougher scrutiny, understandably so. You're assuming I claimed it won't go through? And yet the $70 billion one will also go through so?
Big picture view is that this is all entirely political. A certain party promised some parts of its constituency to "go after big tech" (whatever that means) and now they're trying to look tough, especially since there's a certain big political event coming up in November. It's a whole lot of nothing, both deals will go through without a problem.Yep, absolute nonsense.
This is Jason making up "contingencies" to feign his relevance.

As a matter of fact, I want MS's acquisition of Activision to go through now.
I would probably just say that both party's want to go after big tech for different reasons and in different ways.A certain party promised some parts of its constituency to "go after big tech"
There was this lad, Jim Ryan I think, who said something about the Sony Bungie dealBungie talked about staying a multi platform developer in their blog post when the acquisition was first announced. I might be wrong, but I don't think anyone at Sony has said anything like keeping Bungie games on other platforms or anything of that nature.

I'd say the only caveat not announced with Bungie is that it must be at least Sony (no Xbox/PC/Switch exclusive games) which is fair.
Im not so sure about that. One isn't the market leader and the other is. That alone brings more federal scrutinyI think Microsoft- Activision Probe is more serious than Sony-Bungie ones.
I mean..theres alot of drama going on in Activision, so im not sure why people are comparing the probing between Microsoft - Activision and Sony- Bungie.
Sounds like you dont like progression?Keep it of filthy Tencent
I’ve just about had enough of this sort of slander about an African American!Neither are getting blocked. The FTC is more concerned with an autistic South African buying a social media platform that the FTC's masters use to control the public opinion.
Nah thanks, greetings from former Bolshevik country.Sounds like you dont like progression?
We musnt upset the leader.
Now go and collect your 'free' Epic games at once, comrade.
Bungie is not that big compared to Activision though.Im not so sure about that. One isn't the market leader and the other is. That alone brings more federal scrutiny

PlayStation: Bungie deal is about multiplatform, live-service games
PlayStation's acquisition of Bungie may not result in exclusive PS5 games, but it will allow the platform holder to sig…www.gamesindustry.biz

Never heard of a probe for the Zenimax purchase and that was twice as much. 7billi

he is a Sony fanboy and anti Ms ..what do you expect?Huh, well Bungie isnt a public company, so im curious why the ftc is involved. Where is jason shithead on this reporting?
but this will slowdown other Sony acquisition ...GAF told me thisEasy case, Bungie and Destiny are nowhere near big enough.

he is a Sony fanboy and anti Ms ..what do you expect?
it is my judgment of this very childish man. He obviously blocked me on Twitter at least 8/10 years ago.Yeah it can
You're just being daft now
Business as usual. Needs to happen to make sure everything pans out. It's a market leader spending several billion on a company. Just as the FTC had to look into Sony buying Crunchyroll. At least from the jump Sony has said Bungie will operate as an independent studio under SIE and remain multiplatform. So that should lay a large number of concerns to rest.
it is my judgment of this very childish man. He obviously blocked me on Twitter at least 8/10 years ago
Oh I don't think he's a fanboy just because he blocked me. But for what he has wrote, said and done in the past, multiple times. He is clearly anti Ms specifically anti Xbox since it only talks about video gamesHe blocks everyone. He's blocked me
Doesn't make him anti-ms or a sony fanboy
Oh I don't think he's a fanboy just because he blocked me. But for what he has said and done in the past, multiple times.
Uncovering Bo_Hazem 's true colors :
Includes the makers of Run Sackboy! Run! for mobile and Vita, who nobody played. Imagine the FTC asking them to port it to Xbox xDDDDStudios with like 40-60 full time employees lol
Sony is. The recent acquisitions of Embracer Group are also going to follow the process of needing to be approved by regulators btw.Huh, well Bungie isnt a public company, so im curious why the ftc is involved. Where is jason shithead on this reporting?
Should have a look at the people posting comments on the ftc merger guidelines 'survey'.this guy
since i keep hearing that MS can buyoff people in the government to make them turn a blind eye like they probably did under Trump. This matter should be taking seriously or a very angry gaming community is gonna be outraged if MS is allowed to keep buying big gaming company w/o any consequences.
An easy easy one? .... the famous "hold off" verdict he gave on the review of the x series at the launch of the console.Like what?
Smells like a probe to start a console war, dont fall for it...People won't make a big deal about this one coz reasons.
An easy easy one? .... the famous "hold off" verdict he gave on the review of the x series at the launch of the console.
Meanwhile posting everyday on Twitter how he was hearing left and right that the PS5 was the most revolutionary hardware in 20 years...Embarrassing.
As they should be.Neither are getting blocked. The FTC is more concerned with an autistic South African buying a social media platform that the FTC's masters use to control the public opinion.
Standard procedure but this thread should be good to post any updates on this.
Sony, the undisputed worldwide market leader has purchased 7 studios in just this past year and has made public statements about interest in acquiring more studios. Buying one of the biggest 3rd party studios of all time, Bungie, should defiantly get a 2nd look from FTC regulators. I'd say what Sony is quietly doing is burgeoning on monopolistic and the FTC needs to keep their eye on ball.
we know the free pr and how he was trying to push the PS5 during launch .. he spent the days trying to correct what he thought were Sony's PR mistakes. I advise you (if blocked by him) to log out from your Twitter account and go and reread his posts in the period close to the launch of the consoles. Listen is okay to have a favorite. There are dozens of people writing about the video game industry and a lot of them are biased. He is one of them... There are others that are pro Microsoft .... why in that case unlike this it is right to call them out ? One thing is certain ... no one should take him seriously when it comes to MicrosoftYou mean the same verdict he gave for the PS5?
