They still do and that's the problem. As if gaming rigs intended to play anything A-AAA would use platters.
It's not 2014....

They will come for sure. Just don't know when. If I was a betting man, I'd say within 1yr of release to PS5.Good luck playing Ragnarok, R&C and Horizon 2 on your PC.
Bye!
Exaclty, but that's not what Sony gaming division is doing now. Cross gen, misleading PR and no exclusives are not respectful for those who spent money on their system.Of course many corps respect their customers' money.
I suspect those dates will start to become accurately predicted as the generation moves on.It is because nothing notable happened.
Sony in no way said the PS5 exclusives they make are coming to PC any time soon.
But the only thing about that is that the PS4 games being on the PC will rival the PS5 ones. These ports aren't just going to be straight. There are assets already made that are higher than what was ever seen on PS4. Also, as the graphics engines become more modernized they will put in added features that will make the ports pop visually. I wouldn't sleep on these PS4 ports. Days Gone already is significantly better looking than it's PS4 port due to the change in lighting and textures.Going by what they actually been doing expect the usual slow(milkage) aka PS4 hand me downs.
Damn. I'd have to carry a gun around me for my safety from you mofos if I was Herman.. Holy hell!!
You'll have it..If GOW 2018 comes to PC then I know its sequel will as well. No need to buy a PS5 anytime soon.
And here I am reading a screenrant article saying that Days Gone PC looks marginally better than the PS5 port. Who to believe?I suspect those dates will start to become accurately predicted as the generation moves on.

Up to you. A 3D game's major visual enhancements come from textures and lighting. Period. If you address those two things in a port, the game will look substantially better. And here I am reading a screenrant article saying that Days Gone PC looks marginally better than the PS5 port. Who to believe?

Right but the PC will be able to use enhancements that the PS5 hardware can't even run well. Days Gone is a perfect example of this. That game's higher res textures and their GI system (takes 33ms of compute cycles) would force a throttle down on resolution and FPS for the PS5.No enhancements that use the cutting edge PS5 hardware and many of these "older games" are free where PC buyers will pay a premium for old games.
Horizon FW has three things going for it over the PC version of HZD. 1) They fixed the poor GI system. 2) The water. 3) Facial animation during cutscenes. Everything else is just a change of scenary with different assets. The cloud system, foliage, enemies, texture sizes, collision detection system for foliage, footprints, etc.. all have the same internal subsystems as HZD. Any other judgements are just purely subjective.Look at Horizon FW.. it does circles around Horizon ZD on PC.
That's your opinion and you are entitled to it. But I question anyone that can't see 2-3X the size of textures (ala UE5's textures seem to pop for everyone) and an accurate GI system (albeit in screenspace) that completely changes the look of how light is bounced around (again, Lumen is wow'ing everyone and it has flaws).Days Gone don't look much different than the Pro version either.
You'll have it..
I made this back in February when Days Gone PC port was announced, and people told me Days Gone going to PC doesnt mean PS5 games would go to PC.
It's aged well.
Blizzard also follow the most 'user install base', aka money, and tried to put their games on phones.
so now is all about timed exclusivesBecause we can get such games quite early? But he specified that eh.
Good luck playing Ragnarok, R&C and Horizon 2 on your PC.
Bye!
Is sony business model enough for single player games at this age? wouldn't more graphic games cost more money? Plus arent they also securing more exclusive deals, and timed exclusive games. I wonder if those are eating their cost, so they are trying to expand their business model.
PS Studios will now be forced to make mobile games. Imagine ND talent being forced to work on iPhones.
PS studios will now be forced to make GaaS games.
PS studios will now be forced to make all games multiplatforms.
now they told that all games will end up on pcLiterally nothing has changed from before regarding Playstation games on PC lol
because not released very few valid games not for what you think.Great post. The bit about PS5 being the best place to play AT LAUNCH is absolutely eye opening. Just wow.
The funny thing is that this strategy was already something tried by Microsoft. It didnt work out for them. Their sales tanked hard in the latter half of the gen. they sold 30 million in their first three years and then couldnt even get to 50 million the next 4. I wonder why. Letting your exclusives go to PC just gives players zero reason to invest in your ecosystem.
I am gonna sell my PS5 for profit while i can and use that cash to upgrade my PC where i dont have to pay $70 for their games. $60 just to play online. And have better performance compared to their 10 tflops machine.
they are more profitable than ever by doubling down on single player games like TLOU2, GoT, Spiderman Miles and Demon Souls. Is sony business model enough for single player games at this age? wouldn't more graphic games cost more money? But they are expanding to mobile and Gaas. Their single player blockbuster strategy is awesome and working good but will always be a risky prospect.they are more profitable than ever by doubling down on single player games like TLOU2, GoT, Spiderman Miles and Demon Souls.
In a year where they launched a console that was sold for a loss. They need to double down on single player, not expand to mobile and GaaS. their model works because they are the only ones making quality single player games besides Rockstar.
They will come for sure. Just don't know when. If I was a betting man, I'd say within 1yr of release to PS5.
This slide also heavily implies day and date PC releases for 1st party GAAS games.

Most people will agree with your post. But good luck trying to convince ecosystem warriors.Honestly don't think it would matter if all exclusives was launched on PC a year or 2 later. PC isn't going to suddenly make console only players jump ship. I love alot of PC games but id sooner buy games on console due to ease of use. I got cyberpunk on PC day one and it didnt have 1 major bug for me just couple of graphical glitches, but I still stopped playing due to feeling like I couldn't get the settings right. Also I will never touch any multi player game on PC. Despite what a few trolls will say the games will still specifically target ps5 hardware and take advantage of its features, same for the series consoles. The faster SSD and I/O will soon be matched or exceeded with PC hardware anyway, if it hasn't started to already.
Yea most just won't want the hassle and despite what some may say PC can sure as fuck be hassle. I'd consider myself a tiny bit more knowledgeable than your average console gamer when it comes to PC. I've built 3 of them it isn't exactly that hard its dealing with loads of shit having to play games sometimes and of cause that feeling I'm missing out if I dont get the settings right. Most people will agree with your post. But good luck trying to convince ecosystem warriors.
Their stance is if console exclusives go to PC, there's no point getting a console, the users will drop like a rock and they will shift to buying PC rigs to play the game there instead of a $500 easy to use console.
I think there will games like Genshin Impact alot more in the future from PS Studio. This slide also heavily implies day and date PC releases for 1st party GAAS games.
Any of them seem reasonable. Simulator market in general is biggest on PC so it's def. in the same wheelhouse.Does GT7 seem like a reasonable game to come to PC?
I was thinking cause of the simulator and multiplayer nature element of GT7 it seems like the best bet of the current portfolio.Any of them seem reasonable. Simulator market in general is biggest on PC so it's def. in the same wheelhouse.
Bruh the way you act towards gaming news is legit not healthy. I assume you're just playing a character on the forums cause you like the attention.Am I that predictable?
I'm sorry but they do. There are millions of pc gamers who'd be willing to get into console gaming just like there is millions of console gamers willing to get into pc.The most popular card is NOT 1060. That a faulty reading of the steam hardware. That card is the card that has the largest userbase as a single card. Its just 8 fucking percent of the entire steam userbase. 92% have something else. How is that card the most popular when nearly everyone has something else ?
If you sum up the steam users who have 2070 level performance and up, you have somewhere in the range of 40 million people. So 40 million people or more who match or exceed ps5. Those are the ones who are making game sales, who consume games, the hardcore croud, not the ones with 1050 and 1060.
That doesnt exist. PC gamers are pc gamers because they love the way PC allows them to play games. After they play a former exclusive on their pc they wont suddenly go and buy a new platform that plays completely different than what they want. They're gonna wait and continue to game on pc
Days gone is an absolutely stunning port over the PlayStation version. The global illumination alone is a sight to behold. What dates and who's predicting?
Well the PS5 ports of PS4 games mainly just run at a higher fps.
No enhancements that use the cutting edge PS5 hardware and many of these "older games" are free where PC buyers will pay a premium for old games.
PC enhancements can only do so much.
Look at Horizon FW.. it does circles around Horizon ZD on PC.
Days Gone don't look much different than the Pro version either.
Probably sold as much as Days gone vs Horizon sold on PlayStation 4. One got a sequel announced and one got it’s sequel canned so i guess it’s in line with what Sony expects.isnt days gone a flop on PC compared to HZD?
they are more profitable than ever by doubling down on single player games like TLOU2, GoT, Spiderman Miles and Demon Souls.

Lol I bookmark posts strictly for this reason lol. Serving up heavily salted crow ain't easy, but it's honest work. Funny how certain posters ruined their reputation here, and went from like 50 posts a day to 50 posts a year, due to them writing checks with their mouths, that Sony can't cash out.Man, this thread is just a goldmine of "X playstation game will never come to PC, haha" statements which are just begging to be bookmarked and dug up again when the inevitable next PC port of Horizon 2/GoW/TLoU etc is announced. They do it to themselves, they really do...
Thread is also filled with trolling intentionally misquoting that “claim”. Not sure how much it helps now reposting memes from the Xbox thread.Stolen from the Xbox Power thread:
"We have always said that we believe in generations. We believe that when you go to all the trouble of creating a next-gen console, that it should include features and benefits that the previous generation does not include. And that, in our view, people should make games that can make the most of those features."
"We do believe in generations, and whether it's the DualSense controller, whether it's the 3D audio, whether it's the multiple ways that the SSD can be used... we are thinking that it is time to give the PlayStation community something new, something different, that can really only be enjoyed on PS5."
Agree with a lot of the other points in the post, but why are you misquoting that? And the recent infamous "we believe in generatins" will follow him for at least next 10 years.

Yes.Does GT7 seem like a reasonable game to come to PC?
tell me a game that would suffer....and not possibly be just the best version on PC compared to PS5. Its a good move all around ...are just rabid fanboys upset with itYes.
Gran Turismo is part of the fucking Olympics now. Sony will want it to keep growing and selling to PC users is an obvious move.
Its a platform service type of game, ongoing updates, etc. It could easily go to PC same day as PS4/5. We'll see.
No point in porting GT Sport since GT7 will be on PS4 too (and will replace GT Sport for multiplayer user base).
As a big GT fan, I think its a smart move. GT isn't a game that would suffer in anyway from being on both PS & PC.
Even the cross gen aspect of GT7 isn't that disappointing. (Just a lil bit.) But Sony straight up lied about GT7 being PS5 only.
TLOU2 will never, ever come to PC, haha.
