After years and years of purchasing cheap ink-jet printers that just stop working after 1-2 years of use (or have never really worked well in the first place) I'm looking for the first time to purchasing a color laser/LED printer for my home printing needs.
This is to support color printing for my wife's business (ranging from brochures, handouts, spec sheets etc) as well as random printing needs that pop up. All totaled, about 200-300 pages a month; not heavy duty at all.
Can someone convince me whether it's worthwhile to stick to ink-jet and then give me some recommendations to back that up.
If not, any anecdotes on home color laser/LED solutions that are cost-effective? I see products from Xerox, HP, Brother and Dell... but then I look at the toner replacement costs and do a straight-up double take at those prices.
