There will definitely be a 60 fps option. This is probably native 4k 30 fps so 1440p 60 fps should be easily doable with the next gen cpus.

even if its 4kcb 30 fps, 1080p 60 fps should be in the same pixel budget. there is really nothing stopping them from making 60 fps versions this time around. there is no jaguar holding back the framerate.
You can see upscaling artifacts.. the dudes armor right at the start, often when her hair casts shadows.. sometimes the edge of objects, etc.

I don't think it's native 4k.

Where's VFX......i need to know if this looks like a PIXXXXXAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR come to life
You have seen toy story 4 right?

Because people are expecting it this year. You would think at least a year would have been listed.
I said this in a previous comment, they are going to reshow this in late june/early July and then give the date as part of a bigger event

i also want to add for the ppl concerned about 30fps, most of sonys 1st party games so far this gen have offered different modes, ill be shocked if there wasnt a locked 60 fps mode, ill be playing on 30fps tho lol looks insane.

Omg guys, you have to see the 4K version on YouTube just uploaded. It’s transformative!!! Omfg such beauty, laughing at the people here trying to downplay the graphics. Especially the person talking about the lod, of course there is some, the engine is still supporting the ps4 but it’s barely noticeable anyway. Watch the 4K version, it’s completely amazing and will blow you away.

Glad to be proven wrong in many respects, there's still some last gen vibes here and there but overall it feels like a considerable step up with next gen vibes here and there too. It's very pretty and given the limitations of getting this on PS4 too, they've done a better job than anyone yet of pushing the PS5. The lighting is exceptional; and I think close up LOD density made an enormous difference. Those scenic shots from the pre-stream were extremely misleading, they looked dire by comparison and really had me concerned that it wasn't gonna be impressive.

so .. now... the Game looks not as open then the first one - reason? PS4 of course. Exactly the same reason what made Halo having those cutoff islands of some sort. It there to cut of line of sight. Because the old COnsoles cannot handle to much detail in to much distance. ANd if they wqould not have cared for that and did all PS5 could do, Horizon Forbidden West would look worse on PS4 then HZD!

The lighting in general looks flat and iam sure i saw some shadow cascades .. Also foliage is not reacting to aloy. It looks exactly as what it is . a cross gen game.

...okay. 🤷‍♂️

Looks solid, Aloy looks much better than in HZ1, underwater swimming is cool addition, melee combat improvement, and some cool gameplay addition here and there.

Still no underwater and flying mounts is biggest con, but would be surprise if it's not in, maybe they're saving stuffs for later.

Hopefully just the demo. But we'll see.

The demo looked like it is going to be a linear tutorial section; for this presentation they disabled the tutorial prompts, and maybe added those scripted "voiceovers" too.

But at the end of the demo the dev described how all of these mechanics are meant to be used to give you freedom during battle scenarios. I love the idea of using these to approach a camp of enemies for instance.

Ok. This looked phenomenal. I have no idea wtf was that footage in the five hour stream. I saw no downgrades.

Foliage looked just as good. Water and waves were hard to make out, but they looked a gen ahead of the PS4 water. Her character model looks identical to what was in the trailer. More importantly, Lighting is the same.

And most importantly the fish are all there. all hundreds of them.

And combat is phenomenal. Melee is vastly improved and the grappling hook looked holy fucking shit awesome. I am blown away. All that stress for the last few hours for nothing. This is not good for my health lmao.
DUDE!

I am not sure you are shilling for likes or you actually live through this weird cycle of being negative nancy around here for days or months, only for you to admit being proven wrong time after time, but then the cycle repeats itself and you somehow do it all over again!

First game's combat was already fantastic. Adding graple and gliding mechanics to that will open up so many combat scenarios.

Graphics wise, it is on another level.

And this is a cross gen game.

looks great. congrats to guerrilla artists. i hope in this sequel every random npc in the world has a complex day and night cycle and we can have meaningful conversations with every single one of them and of course i want to be able to sit on every chair. and a complex police/crime system. otherwise 6/10

toldy'a wait for gameplay ;), to be fair I didn't belive crossgen can look that good, for me it was definitly more impressive than ratchet gameplay, curious how ps4 version looks/is possible

also.. did someone notice that basicly every area that shows actually some details is actually a "room" of some sorts. It is tailored exactly to not stress PS4 to much... Also in Water it looked okay but viewdistance is like 20 meters. And dont tell me it is realistic. You can have very clear sight in water!
Also - if theres actually a distant shot there is always fog or deep hanging clouds. To obscure of course Terrain. Terrain that does not need to show actual foliage detail if covered up like this.

I fucking new it.
