PlayStation Network Thread | November 2016

Not sure anyone's interested, but the new Vita colours (silver/red) come out in Japan on 1st December. Also budget versions of Taiko no Tatsujin and World Trigger, if anyone wants (slightly) cheaper imports.

That is really nice :D!

Maybe we will see one of them announced at the PSX hopefully :)?

Gamasutra.
Man, was looking at The Drop for this week and wondering where I could ask about some of the games there. Found this thread, which I thought might be like the old school PSN threads. Hoo-boy. 😐

Sorry man :(.

The thing is that many people left this thread and moved on to the Upcoming Vita Games Thread.

However one Gaffer by the name of skynidas made this really great video covering all the games this week :)

Hey I have two questions regarding the PS4.

1. How does the PS4 handle its saves for digital and physical games? Vita has this really stupid design where deleting a digital game deletes your saves. I need to make space for FFXV tomorrow. Can I safely delete random physical and digital games?

2. I have an AU/NZ PS4. I have both US (primary) and AU/NZ accounts on my PS4. If I buy PS+ for my US account, will my AU/NZ account also be able to benefit from PS+ like save sync, online gaming, etc...?

1. It does it the same way as the vita. Uninstall the games and you delete the saves and dlc/patches as well
2. Not sure on that but I'm inclined to say no

Chuy could be right but from what I remember:

1. Deleting game doesn't delete saves, after deleting game you should still find the saves at (Settings) > [Application Saved Data Management] > [Saved Data in System Storage]. It does delete DLC+patches though, those you will have to DL again.

2. Yes, you only need one PS+ per system, the account with PS+ needs to be set as primary/main console and it shares the PS+ to other accounts, regardless the region. You don't get other regions PS+ games though, but you can use the features (online gaming, cloud saves I guess).
I haven't tried cloud saves so can't say for sure about that but I'm certain online gaming between regions works, have tried that myself.

After a quick search yeah you're correct about how saves work.

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
I wish PS4 had the option to not allow the user to install the full game on the console even if it's physical, kinda like the PS3. :/

What's the best way to set up PSN accounts for my children, that then also can be used when they are older, without restrictions?
They are 8 and 11 years old.

I'd make them normal accounts (You'll have to lie about their age, might be a problem in future when resetting password etc. if you don't remember what year you set them as) and just restrict the access through PS4.

Alternatively let them use your account and set yourself restrictions with passcode.

How Sony wants you to do it is by Sub Accounts but I read here from GAF that somebody had problems with the account after he turned 18, might want to search for that thread. Couldn't find the thread but I found some blog post from 2015 that you can apparently upgrade sub accounts to master (normal) accounts once you're 18, so could be a good idea.

I've beaten Oreshika this week, settling for the normal ending because
screw chasing down so many gods in those dungeons
.

Coincidentally, the bubble right next to it is Atelier Totori's, that I haven't played yet and what would be my first Atelier since Iris. If I thought the time management thing in Oreshika was a constant chore I'm not gonna like it in Atelier either, am I?

I don't wanna do like in Oreshika and play for 10h before I realize what I'm getting into...

Anybody here knowledgeable about the aftermarket for OG Ps4s? What price can I ask for my Glacier White with vertical stand, I feel like its worth than just normal black but that could be my emotional attachment.

Thanks Kyle, the PSX conference is after VGA, right?

PSX is the third and fourth, with the bit you're thinking of held on the third at 10am Pacific.

In other news, if anyone's interested in pimping out their Vita with a theme I just dropped an overview video for the Hebijo (Senran Kagura: Estival Versus) theme.

If that's not your bag though, I've got fourteen or so other theme overviews up now. ^_^

Some of them are surprisingly good, especially the free ones.

Vice City Stories, PS2 or PS3? I tried Liberty City Stories on the Vita and couldn't forgive the lack of second stick support. Latter is only a couple bucks more but obviously no resale value or map.

Same game, literally. It's not a port or anything, just basic emulation. The controllers have identical layout too.

12 days of Christmas is live in EU.
Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration at a 47% discount, landing at 289 sek. That's a pretty good price.
