I played it and the separate demo and all the dlc. That DLC was a rip off too. They didn't even finish the game and had to complete it in a free DLC pack. Who the eff thought that was acceptable? And the rest of it is more like the worst parts of the series.

I get that the house into the ship into the lab is reminiscent of the journey from the mansion into the cabin into the lab from the first game. I get that it tries to lean harder into the horror and suspense like the first game. But it really does feel like a sequel to 6 and not a full return to the series roots.

What about the retarded over the top boss battles with the family? That isn't RE1 at all, they are closer to RE6's battles.

I really enjoyed the demo they put out and played it many times. For anyone who doesn't know, the RE7 beginning hour demo is a free stand alone experience and an amazing horror vignette, similar to P.T. that is not contained in the actual game. Please check it out.

I really don't like the torture porn sub genre of horror and much of RE7 focused on that. If RE8 is like that at all, it will be the first mainline RE game I won't pick up at launch. The trailers look 50/50 right now.

Also the graphics in RE7 weren't great in my opinion. Some elements of the engine were awesome like the textures and lighting, but the hair and facial animations were horrible. The previous games had stronger art direction overall. Luckily for us they corrected these issues in the REmakes.

Its a sequel to RE7 dude they said enough.

But the next big update is "coming this winter" probably at TGA, the TGS thing is just to slowly build hype and talk a bit

The full game is awesome and it contain the demo parts just in separated ways... so you don't need to play the demo for these that are reading.... I recommend not play the demo that have spoilers from the full game.

Lol, the demo has a completely different pace and set of objectives from the main game. It literally is a different style from the game itself and more survival horror than the retail release. The "spoilers" are all pretty much from the first act as well.

My brother owns the valve index, Oculus quest and psvr. I have played a variety of games on each because of him. When he tells me not to bother, I trust his opinion more than yours.

It's really awesome that Capcom is making a sequel that speaks to the fans of their best selling entry. I'll keep an eye on it, but honestly would personally be more interested in a new third person entry, even if I have to settle for another REmake instead.

I never said RE7 in VR was bad, I said that someone who's opinion I trust didn't recommend it for ME AND ONLY ME. You are reading what you want to see, not what other people are actually writing. Also I was only discussing the game and beginning hour demo, not the VR mode.
