  • S.Link FM Episode 1: Enter the TV [slinkfm.com]

Description:
In the very first episode of S.Link FM, we decide to start things off a little casually and go over how each of us got into the Persona series. We decided to do this podcast on a whim last night so I apologize if the first episode seems disorganized. Nonetheless, we manage to talk about how great Persona 2 is, how we got into the series, Persona 4 Arena at EVO2013, Persona 5 speculation, and jello's utilikilt.

  • S.Link FM Episode 2: Persona 4-2 [slinkfm.com]

Description: The S.Link FM podcast returns to speculate upon hopes, dreams, and what little "info" we have about Persona 5. Our guest Inorigo (@Talespun, writer for GameRanx and RPGSite) chimes in with some great points for your consideration. We ask questions about Persona 5's combat, social link system, dungeons, cell phones, release date and even what console/handheld it might be on. Will our dreams come true or is S.Link FM a place where dreams go to die? You'll just have to listen and find out!

  • S.Link FM Episode 3: New Days. [slinkfm.com]

Description: The S.Link FM podcast rises to the top of a mountain made of burning questions and shared experiences to to summon a storm of LBGT topics for discussion! Is Kanji gay? Who is the Sumaru Genie? Were you guys offended by that babe hunt scene in Persona 3? Why isn't anybody talking about the casino guys in Persona 1? Our guests shidoshi (@Pikoeri, writer for EGM, podcast legend of WAHP, and pressing issues panelist) and Inorigo (@Talespun, writer for GameRanx and RPGSite) lay down the knowledge and perspective you'll need to conquer society's many pitfalls. Lend us your ear for another S. Link FM!

  • S.Link FM Episode 4: Anime Is For Jerks. [slinkfm.com]

Description:On Episode 4 of S.Link FM, we discuss the various anime adaptions of the Persona franchise. Firstly our panel gives a brief history of our experience with the Anime medium, where we’re pretty all over the place. CJKeats being the Anime connoisseur of the group, and the only one brave enough to watch Persona Trinity Soul. From there we tackle Persona 4: The Animation, and the upcoming Persona 3 movies. Most of the discussion spotlight was on the Persona 4 Anime, and our general feelings on how it handled the story, plot, and characters from the game. Also, considering some of the premises of the Persona series, anime recommendations are made!

  • S.Link FM Episode 5: Mind Games [slinkfm.com]
Description: Did you know that the occult has always been a huge part of Shin Megami Tensei and therefore also a huge part of the Persona series? In Episode 5 of S.Link FM, we delve into the theology, mysticism, tarot influence, philosophy and myriad of topics pertaining to the ridiculous amount of detail that goes into the SMT games. Joined by resident SMT/Persona Keeper of Knowledge cj_iwakura, psychotherapist venfayth, and theological/philosophical enthusiast ScraftyDevil, this episode is a a heavy discussion, but ultimately one of our best yet! Hope you enjoy listening!

  • S.Link FM Episode 7: Voices in My Head with Erin Fitzgerald [slinkfm.com]
Description: At long last the day has finally come, the highly anticipated 7th Episode of S.Link FM is here for all to hear. I mean, what could be more exciting than having the mind behind the kickboxing carnivore Chie Satonaka on the podcast? It’s true, immensely talented voice actress Erin Fitzgerald was here to school us with her vast assortment of knowledge. We talked about linguistics, the voice over industry, and most importantly steak. So enjoy this one, we had an absolute blast recording it.

  • S.Link FM Episode 8: Casual Saturdays - E3 2013 Edition [slinkfm.com]

Description: Once and a while the formalities need to be laid to rest and casual discussion needs to occur. In this episode we discussed the rumors that were surrounding a potential reveal of Persona 5 at E3 2013. We also discussed our favorite non-Persona/SMT related games from the show too. We assure you, S.Link FM is not becoming a general gaming podcast. This episode was recorded more to hold people over till the juicier episodes in the future arrive.

  • S.Link FM Episode 9: Index's Amazing Commodities

Description: Well the news hit recently of Index corporation(Atlus's parent company) filing for Bankruptcy, now's the time for wild speculation about the future of Atlus! Potential buyers, whether or not Index would actually auction off Atlus, if they were sold what company would be the best fit and so on. Also, we've got another big guest coming on the podcast this Friday, and if you want to know who it is in advance, it's announced at the end of the episode!

Funnily enough, the day AFTER we recorded this the news of Index corp registering the Persona5.jp domain came to light. So there you have it, Persona 5 announcement is imminent!

  • S.Link FM Episode 10: Sam Riegel interview

Description: Well folks, we were once again able to sit down and have a chat behind one of the voices of the Persona 4 cast. This time, Sam Riegel, who voiced Teddie in Persona 4: The Golden, Persona 4: Arena, and Persona 4: The Animation came on the show. Sam shed some light on his acting career, touched on what it was like working on the Persona projects, and gave some Beary good advice on for those looking to make it in the voice acting industry. This was a very bearable episode to record, nothing grizzly about it!

Apologies in advance that we did not get to everyone’s questions, we were on a bit of a time constraint. This episode is a lot more concise than previous ones and Sam really elaborate on the questions we did ask, so a lot of the reader questions were answered in passing anyways.

Many thank yous again to Mr. Riegel for joining us!

  • S.Link FM Episode 11: EVO 2013 - The Thirst Is Real

Description: The annual EVO Championship Tournament in Las Vegas is the grandest stage of them all for fighting games, and this year Persona 4: Arena was able to take center stage. In the quest to solidify S.Link FM as a Top Tier™ show, we've once again sought the assistance of the legendary Dacidbro, who taught us all a great deal on how to quench the thirst that was all to present at EVO 2013. Well known streamer and tournament organizer Logic Hole was also kind enough to join this weeks show as well. Finally Armada and MoTheHawk tell us all about how they fared in the P4: A tournament. This was probably our funniest show yet, and by the end you too will be a believer in BananAmerica.

All original music from the Podcast provided by composer Doug Farrell, check out his work here:

Thanks to Armada for helping with the OT.

Ehh...I like Persona, but not as much as overall MegaTen. Still, this looks like a lot of work produced into something rad, so I can respect that.

She was so awesome. Even though she's so busy, she still found time to come on to a new podcast made by fans, and was so enthusiastic about it. Made for an amazing episode!

Just got back from being out for the weekend, so I'll get to listen to it either tonight or tomorrow. If it's anything like the past few episodes it should be good

Everybody should listen to episode 7! It's awesome stuff.

Downloading latest ep no- Labrys Dafoe...?

New post on the website:

After our somewhat episode-light month of June, the podcast is coming back in a big way. For the upcoming Tenth Episode, we’re bringing on and interviewing voice actor Sam Riegel! Sam provided the voice for Teddie in Persona 4: The Golden, Persona 4: The Animation, and Persona 4: Arena. Sam has also voiced a whole plethora of popular characters from various media like BioShock Infinite, Guild Wars 2, Samurai Champloo, World of WarCraft and a whole slew of other titles. Don’t hesitate to ask about the other work he’s don outside of Persona!

So if you have a question for Mr. Riegel you want read on that episode by all means post it here! Alternatively you can send you questions to @slinkfm on twitter.

We’d beary much appreciate it!

Post here!

Obviously this is more for people outside of GAF that can't post is this thread, but I thought I'd post it all the same.

For some reason I keep getting Levito, CJ and Inorigo mixed up in the new episode. You all sound the same to me.

I just realized I'm going to have been a guest on both the fifth and tenth episode. I need to come back for the fifteenth, I suppose!

Just started listening to the show, starting with episode 7.

Erin "FitzBadass" Fitzgerald was awesome. Great interview and glad to hear her insight into Chie's character. They should make an adventure game spin-off with the rest of the Inaba gang minus the MC (since he's supposed to be away). No personas or shadows, although Teddie can still be part of the cast.

Anyway, great job, PersonaGAF. I'll be downloading and listening to the other episodes for sure.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
I have a possible topic. As someone that gave up on persona 2 way back on psx, but rebought it on psp, can the crew enlighten someone like me on how best to approach demon conversations? I tend to find then tedious and obscure, but really want to play through both p2 games someday.

Any tips or recommendations on how to consider approaching that system as the game itself is not too helpful nor do I wish to pour through bloated faqs for guidance. A round table discussion on how they work and to remove my total disconnect from them would help tremendously thx!

Bumping just encase any GAF folks have questions for Sam Riegel.
Did he try to stay in the same range as Dave Wittenberg with his voice? Or was the voice just his own take?

How much cringing did he do while saying all of Teddie's lame puns?

In an argument, who would give up first, Donatello or Teddie?
