Thankfully, said mutant wasn't promoted to President of Xbox.
You laugh but I think that's the endgame.
Major nelson position is still available, only a matter of time before we see this donkey on xbox dashboard

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
There will be people who will still defend them regardless of any mediocre offerings. It’s more about the social aspect and building followings to placate the more zealot like element of the community for their own benefit than being honest whatever that view may be.

Regardless of that sort of behaviour the products are there to be played for everyone to have an opinion on and the critical and commercial end results speak for themselves. No amount of fake sycophantic behaviour, posing for photos or getting a favourable response on social media from one of theses execs is going to change that.

I’m not surprised at these changes, it’s all a bit too predictable, I was hoping to be wrong and we would see a substantial overhaul with better people in those roles and more importantly better and more consistent in a positive sense end results in the products. Not to be I guess.
Especially when there are better people like Jack Tretton, Shawn Layden available. Everyone of them have a better track record than who they have. Would they work for Microsoft? Not likely? Coincidentally they do have Rodd Fergusson from Blizzard who should replace Matt Booty. Give that loser the the boot. Fergusson has a track record of getting games shipped.

Yeah, we know what the consensus is among many of you about where the blame lies. But there’s no telling what the true situation is. And ‘delays games and then releases them in a terrible state’ doesn’t describe the majority of MS first party releases since 2018.

It describes Halo Infinite, it describes Redfall, it describes Starfield. These are their biggest titles since 2018.

If you delay a game, do it right.

Only one of those was released in a terrible state, as reviews can attest. But can’t stop the agenda, eh?

Imagine citing Redfall as being bigger than Forza Horizon 5 or Gears 5, just to argue a point.
To be fair. Redfall is one of the most discussed games at GAF.

Halo Infinite and Starfield massively underperformed expectations.

Redfall was the "mic drop" closer of Microsoft's E3 equivalent games showcase and was a major title they advertises for 2023.

If we're talking games since 2018, Forza Horizon 5 and Gears 5 are bigger titles and make more sense to include over Redfall, IMO.

Yeah, you certainly have a thing for moving goalposts. That's not the same thing as 'launched in a terrible state'

Well yes, it was their first AAA title since Q4 2021. First in nearly 1.5 years.
Still a joke to claim it's anywhere near as big as FH5 or Gears 5.

Starfield to me is a terrible game, user scores are very poor

Halo Infinite was an okay game at launch, but they botched the multiplayer which is pretty much in a terrible state right now relative to its history
