They increased my ban length time after I asked why my post deserved a warning. Said it was increased to an outright ban. That forum is brought down by garbage mods/staff easily.

Can I get a synopsis of how this forum prevented becoming like them? I VAGUELY remember this place being a lot more aggressively PC, but one day I came and it seemed normal again.

There's some detail that I think it's in bad taste to get into so I'll be leaving that out.
This forum evolved from a boys club (yes, sorry) to a place that was kind of a haven for girls, gays, etc. It was actually kinda nice if you ask me. But that was eventually twisted, co-opted, manipulated into a disaster.
There were some misguided decisions up to that point -and I must say while some saw it coming, I did not- as far as letting some users have influence in how this place was run. There was a sudden drama that boiled over... fast. Like a flash flood. Those users that had gained influence basically led a revolt. Trashed the place with vile account suicides and porn.
Not only overwhelmed the mods, but scared most of them off for fear of being blown up on twitter. Lore was left with mods that I think you could count on one hand iirc. Within half a day, the place was in absolute shambles. The revolting users took a huge chunk of the community with them and had resetera up and running as a replacement inside of a week. So many left at once that era was full functional immediately and didn't even have to build up users.
One important thing is that not everyone who left was necessarily a psycho. I went with them because so many people I liked left too, and I wanted to still be with them. I don't think of myself as an asshole but I made an asshole move and left even though I unambiguously thought that the drama was unwarranted and actually malicious. I did have some guilt. I think a whole lot of people were in the same boat and just figured "this is how it's going to be", perhaps as a cope over a weak decision.
Those core group of what we called "Prominent Users" had even more run of the place at era and it gradually devolved into a hellhole.

I hope once the demo comes out we see more conversations about actual gameplay and combat rather than just “sexy design”.
Don’t get me wrong love designs here but it getting little tiring see entire discussion around this game is just about “sexy design”…… I mean this not first time we got Asian game with sexy character design.

Sometimes when you install a game for the first time you can play it before the instal ends. This "early access" is always pretty big, even not half the full game big. I think that maybe a big part of the map is included?

So help me out here.
Do I have to keep this demo file installed when I install the full game off of the disc next month in order to "keep my progress"?
If so: I will have two Stellar Blade files? Or will the full game write over the demo?

I think that FF16 had the demo and the full game in two separate files. So I think that it will be the same for Stellar Blade. But save files are in another place so you should be able to delete the demo when the full game will be out. Maybe just wait until you launch the full game and have the prompt to update your save?

Yeah, I'll wait until I install the full game to delete the demo file.
Or not! If the demo is the beginning of the game, and its really fun, I have no problem doing it over/re-playing the beginning when I get the full thing.

I kinda fkc myself over with ff16 demo.
It's only you know... the best demo ever and I played it good 3-4 times... and by the time I got the game month later, I continued from the save.
And the problem was that the demo was so god damn great and impactful, it would really be better to just play it with the full game and not spoil month earlier!

If the full game get balance patchs it can be fun to see how it was in the beginning. I will probably do like you, even if the chance of me replaying the demo is low( unless there is a good cinematic that I would like to see/ listen to again)

The short version is that all of the people who used to make neogaf "a lot more aggressively PC" bailed in late 2017 and formed purple hell forum. The aggressive PC-ness went away with them.

Me too. They banned me a year ago for posting in a Forspoken thread: "I think it's really cool they took a bunch of Aisha Tyler E3 presentation quips and edited them together to create an entire game script."
The reason for my ban was "Racism"

A lot of assets on a game disc are reused many times throughout the game. So to play the game at all, you need to download them. With the full install, they would be used over and over.

Given how much they were trying to tear the game down anyway (IMO simply because it was a PS5 exclusive), I'm surprised they banned you over any joke regarding the game.
Also Aisha Tyler, that name brings up some memories. We need some Forspoken x FRIENDS mashup clips for some good laughs.

The mod who banned me announced ahead of time they INTENDED to do a lot more "racism" bans around that time because it was February... i.e. Black History Month.
