[Warm Machine]

Really! I watched the first 50 minutes and thought 2 hours had gone by. Nothing happens in this movie that seems like it matters in any way. Characters have fleeting encounters with one another that may as well never happened. The supporting characters themselves seem to be added as false depth to the story as they play no consequnece.

The only thing this movie has going for it is that it looks absolutely stellar on DVD. Not the best cinematography but just a clean, crisp, colorful image the likes of which I have not seen very often.

If you want to watch the best Elmore Leonard 'movie', just watch Jackie Brown.

The Big Bounce was probably the most utterly boring movie I've watched in ages. Plus Sarah Foster's character was just fuckin' annoying.

 

[Warm Machine]

Big Trouble was a better movie than this but not by much.

Jackie Brown, Get Shorty, and Out of Sight are all great movies, this was just painful.
