Things you no longer need due to the invention of smart phones

You sound like someone who’s never not had access to a cell phone.

Nope, I got my first true smartphone when I was in my 20s. Having a cellphone in those situations would have solved so many issues, like the ones I listed there, that's why I'm saying you are just being a contrarian hipster.

Directions are probably the biggest change for me. Remember the days where you’d need hand written directions when going to a party or something?

“Turn left at the first intersection, bear right at the split, then follow the road all the way down to a 7/11 but don’t turn there, there’s a small street after it that’s hard to see, you turn at that street.”

Then you are driving and the directions are nowhere as straight forward as they say and you’d get lost. That shit was the worst.. Now I don’t need to know where anything fucking is anymore. I barely use my phone when I’m out and about I try to not be one of those people who walk around in public with their face buried in it, and I’ve held to that quite well. When I’m out with friends I never use it, I think it’s rude, I’ll never use it on a date. The only place I will in public is doctors offices and such or if I’m out when a game is on and need to check the score.

But using it to tell me where the fuck to go is where I use 99% of my phone usage out of my house.

I try to avoid replacing too many things with a single device so I still wear a watch, own a military flashlight or use an alarm clock. One of the exceptions is probably not using a traditional GPS anymore. My old one is slow and I see no point in spending a lot of money on a new one.

Women. I can go on that tinder garden and hoe me a thot.

When tinding the tinder you gotta have expectations though. Gotta aim low. Like streaming quality low. Might catch stadia, but you gotta have some risk ya feel me?

Dude, you WRITE like people TALK!

My phone replaced nothing to be honest. I still wear a watch, have a laptop and get on my PC frequently. But if I have to choose one thing it’ll be GPS

It's simply impossible for me to not have a mobiel phone with me these days.

A month ago for a couple of days my phone was broken, and I was left without one.
I felt like an amputee.

The whole process of having to download porn, re-encode it to to fit on the 32MB of space I had for my PSP.

A dumb phone is about it

Surprisingly, I still have the need for most everything else. Some things have come close to obsolescence, but only close...not complete obsolescence.
