She lacks the credentials? It's clear you haven't seen the "credentials" of OTHER producers in this industry. Most have never worked in any way shape or form in the gaming field before getting their producer title, or as producers or even associate producers for anything else in fact. You really have no idea, from game designers to producers to "creative directors", the industry lacks a lot of credentials all around due to lack of workforce.

Why is the industry like this?

It's plausible her producing the game has nothing to do with her face but I find it hard to believe the amount of press I've seen her in doesn't have to do with that. The only other people I see as frequently have say their own companies or huge series under their belts.

I have no idea how involved Jade Raymond was with anything in the game. It is irrelevant. Are we supposed to handle all video game producers with kid gloves now? I've seen dozens of photoshops of VG producers in all kinds of compromising positions. Where were the outcries there? Gender doesn't mean shit, everyone should be held up to the same standard.

She can't be any worse than Dyack.

Jade is an attractive girl that was exploited to market a game to the core demographic that the game was targetting: 13-30 year old males.

Individuals that closely follow the game industry enough to know who Jade Raymond even is are likely to be much more tolerant and exposed to more vulgarities and obscenities than your standard person.

This comic is the direct result of:

A) Jade being attractive
B) Jade being exploited to sell a game
C) Jade being involved in an industry that is full of individuals with a more tolerant view of what is humorous.

There should be no shock or confusion as to why this happened. There shouldn't be any extra outrage over the fact that this event occurred.

It is equally as sexist to oogle Jade and/or discredit her position because of her looks as it is to argue that this case is different than every other photoshop of a game industry figurehead.

Sure, the company is sticking up for its own, but it's also directing a great deal of attention on Assassin's Creed (and any press is good press), as well as on this crappy comic, which really deserves to be seen and commented on by no one.
