You don't really expect them to though, do you? They seem content with mostly leaving XBLIG to be like the Wild West in terms of stuff like this.

There's no way to fix the damage done by gaming the system, even manually. If something has been done illegaly (against the TOS) it's another matter and it's being investigated.

Now people without a console can't rate games and I think it's the best solution. No need to check if a demo has been downloaded or not, played or not.

How do you know there's no way to fix the damage manually? I suppose it's possible there isn't, but it seems likely they'd be able to look through the voting history of anyone they want and spend hours sifting through it for the ones that voted 1 star on every game in the top 50.

Why does it always come back to Microsoft being the bad guy? Not the people who did all the damage in the first place, but it is MS who is lazy here because they are not mopping up after the offenders.

If they built a better system to begin with we might not be in this boat. The system was practically begging to be gamed. I don't necessarily think they're the "bad guy" here, but I do think they'd do a better job if they really gave a rat's ass about the channel.

Because it wasn't and it still isn't forbidden to rate down any game you dislike. I don't think anyone was even told to rate down games if I recall things.

By the way, everyone should use the ratings to vote and say how they want the Indie Service to be -at least I do-. Those who make the effort to rate games have the power and it's not very difficult to rate down games (or "games") that take important spots and that you don't want to see on XBLIG anymore.

OnPoint >> oh come on, like they could expect a group of thousands enthusiasts to follow directions to create Live accounts just to rate an indie game. ffs.

There's no co-op mode in Starzzle ? I sure hope it's a mistake on the game's page.

You'll never hear me say, there is no need to play a game in order to rate it. Sorry Kafel, but that just sounds all kinds of ridiculous.

If the system can be better, then why not at least hope for it to be better someday and be vocal about it needing to be better, instead of simply saying "there's no need for this or that"?

Obviously, if you haven't played a game, if you haven't watched a movie, if you haven't tried a dish, how can you rate it? Anything less is still broken and I think the XBLIG community deserves a little bit better. MS is on the right track, but it seems like they are fighting the idea of just doing what obviously makes the most sense.

But what else is new right?

The rating system is the same for all the 360 games. Even those you play on discs and that have nothing to do with the marketplace. XBLIG devs are treated like the others and the problem that specifically touched them has been solved, thus it's time to get back to work.

And I don't need to play a massage app to rate it 1 star because it's not my cup of tea and if I can contribute to make it harder to find it's for the best of the service. Who cares about the mark I gave this game? Noone knows it's mine. It's also a vote.

But it might end up being the best massage you ever had.

Whut? Why would there be? It's not really that kind of game. You control the two guys independently, rather than at once.

They're the ones who left the hole there.

I'll be submitting Pajamorama to DPB. It's a cute little smash game with girls in their pjs pillow fighting. It's really fun and coming along nicely, but I still have a TON of work to do by the deadline!

Not quite spelled the same way, but that name has actually been used beforehand:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyjamarama

That said, I very much doubt it actually *matters*

Yeah but it could have been fun to play with someone and share ideas about how to finish the levels, even if coordination isn't needed.

I don't know what Ultraviolet is really about but it looks cool :

http://catalog.create.msdn.com/en-U...d=2aa85ac8-2173-4774-8101-dd635447907d&type=2

Played the demo... I really don't think it's fun. At all. I messed around with it, then played the tutorial. It looks really complex but it didn't feel like there was all that much to it. Everything felt kind of pointless. Shame too, because I like the artstyle a lot

NLL 11 is just awful. It's hard, the grass is so bright that you might go blind if you look at it too long, and if you press Y it turns in to a beat 'em up for literally no reason at all. Nothing I pressed had an outcome on the fight and when it was over the ball just went back to the centre. I know nothing about Lacrosse, still, but I could appreciate College Lacrosse as something that was a decent sports game. But this? No. I was three nil down in three attacks because the opponent was relentless, and didn't have any fun with it at all. Teams aren't rated either, so there's no way of telling whether or not you're playing as a good team, or against a good team. There's just so much basic stuff that this gets wrong.

It's zombie week or something.

Zombie Poker Defence takes basically everything that's popular and puts it in a game. There's even a half naked woman for no reason at all. It doesn't really work, but is interesting enough to warrant playing. You have a round of poker, and depending on the quality of your hand, you're awarded a tower of varying degrees of power. Then zombies come and you hope your tower's good enough. It's an interesting idea, but not much more than that.

Zombie Death Zone is a twin stick that gives you about 2,000 zombies to kill from the very start. I like that. You have to fight your way through the hordes looking for some orbs or something. It could have done a better job of explaining what the point was, to be honest, and it is far too easy to die.

Undead Empire slow slow slow slow slow slow slow slow. Twin stick.

Farbles is weird. Balls fall down, you catch them in a funnel and then move to drop them into an appropriately coloured chute. That's it. That's the whole game.

Bomb Those Wheelers is decent. Four planes automatically go from left to right and back, and you press the colour that corresponds to the plane to drop a bomb. You have to drop bombs onto trucks before the trucks get to your mothership. Nice combo system that goes up every time you hit something, and gets wiped out when you miss.

Ultraviolet is... difficult to explain. I played the tutorial twice and still don't entirely know what the point is. You have to up your bar by collecting gems, by pressing A to draw them in. When the bar fills, you win. But it'll take ages. Meanwhile your opponent tries to do the same and the board tilts based on the weight of the gems on either side of it. So the more gems on your side, the closer the come, and the quicker you can draw them in, and this description is getting really boring which is probably because the game is slightly boring. It just takes so long and there's not really enough happening at any point.

Buy Help Fight Breast Cancer if you want to donate money to charity, or just donate money to charity and avoid giving Microsoft their cut. The charity gets more money, and you don't have to play this game. Everyone wins! Except Microsoft.

Udder Chaos is a shooting game where you shoot aliens in ships that are trying to abduct cows. Where did that meme even come from? It's okay, but nothing more.

Brain Jump is a series of simple challenges that are for children, or really thick people.

360 Video Poker is a boring poker game. Get Casino Nights if you want to play video poker, it's great and comes with a bunch more games.

鉄鋼歩兵 is a decent if a little slow over the shoulder shooter. Hugely customisable mech things to control.

Looks really good other than the photoshop glow around the characters.
Naia (the girl) actually kind of blends into the background without it, but I'll lessen it by a pixel or two.

My guess is Kafel is referring to the previous way Sequence was written on that poster where people complained that it was really difficult to read the word. I could be wrong, I also found his sentence a bit confusing.

Really looking forward to Sequence. I'll grab it without delay once it goes up.

(laugh) Oh, yeah. I mean, I thought it was cool, but so many people were confused, I had to change it. S'okay, I really like it now. = D

And thanks. ^^

Yep.

Would have bought the game if the title used Comic Sans though, now I don't know.

I'll echo other's combat concerns. Doesn't look too fun to get knocked down and lay there for a few seconds in the middle of combat.

My beef is also with the sword doing seemingly no damage/enemies not reacting properly to getting hit with a sword/everyone having what must be a gazillion hit-points.

Looks like it's needs some tightening up on the combat front, but also some variations on attacks/defense. An entire game of just that sword will probably feel shallow.

Huge potential though. Love the look/feel.

Feep did you contact a mod to know if you or someone else can make a thread once it's out?

You've made a GAF reference somewhere in your game iirc so it should help.

You can stop shaking, I peer reviewed it.
In return I want your media contacts so I can help promote my next game when it's released. <.<
