So Asian Boss just posted the second half of their interview series with two North Korean defectors living in South Korea. Really heart wrenching stuff, I can hardly imagine what these people have been through. Really makes me appreciate the privileged life I have been able to live so far. Had things gone a little differently, and my parents had not managed to leave Iraq early in the Sadam regime, my story would not be so different.

Great stuff. As a Korean American I probably don't know half as much as I should about the situation over there. And it's videos like these that remind me why I hate the "north Korea is best Korea" meme so much. It's not fucking funny the shit that goes down there.

In S. Korea they don't kill you for that. But they punish you and put charges.
