Yeah. There's two ongoings, MTMTE and RID. I normally recommend MTMTE as that's been my favourite of the two, though RID has its moments. You don't need to read them together either. They work well as separate entities, although they are in the midst of the Dark Cybertron crossover at the moment.

I'm basically just riding out Superior Spider-Man to get to the end at this point.
Why does Potto make a big deal out of Goblin 'knowing everything' about who he is with the Carly reveal when we learned last issue that Goblin....knows everything about who he is?
The same answer as always: because SpOck is stupid and needs to hurry up and go away already.

I just assumed it was more of a confirmation than anything else. Not just knowing who he is but the story behind it all.
I took it as the idea that if Carlie Cooper will blab to anyone who will listen (like, the Avengers, for example) if she knows the truth, while "Norman" covets that information. Now Obtuse Otto has to assume that the truth is out there.

Around these parts, the current ongoing Transformers series are well-loved. More Than Meets the Eye more so than Robots in Disguise. I myself read the first issue of More Than Meets the Eye and kinda loved it. I might need to snatch up the first volume myself before the end of the day.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series are also popular. Both the animated series and the main series are on sale, both of which I've heard good things about.

The first volume of 30 Days of Night is on for two bucks, so I would reckon that's worth checking out for vampire/horror fans. I also hear a lot of good things about Parker, the first two volumes of which are included in the sale.

Thanks for the info. Picked up MTMTE vol 1. Used to be a big Transformers fan, so I'm looking forward to the read.

No offense, but that's an incredibly clique-y thing to do.

Thai: doesn't want into the clique

Come on its just a bit of fun with the regulars. It would be like posting a wall of shame each month for posting, which we will never do as I am kicking all your asses :p. Or is it clique-y to have a book of the month voted by the thread users?

I was just about to vote for the bestest comic of the month for the first time since i started getting dcbs orders on the third week instead of the " voting is over" 4th week, and the bestttttttttt issue Invincible #108 was released on January 29th.

Can't win.

Love that Moon Knight preview. Great use of colour (and the lack thereof) from Jordie Bellaire as usual. Her and Shalvey make a great team, and we know that Ellis will knock it out of the park as well.

Isn't he still doing the Oz books? I'm sure they're good, but we need this man in mainstream comics asap. Such a great style.

He posted something online recently saying he was wrapping up his Oz run, and I guess this could be why. I love those books (although I still need to catch up on the 5th hardcover) and his style is so well-suited for that world. Gorgeous stuff.

That said, this was one of my absolute favourite parts of DnA's Guardians Of The Galaxy:

So yeah, super excited for this. Interested in checking out Skottie's writing too. I know he did that Magneto miniseries a while back that was meant to be pretty good but I never got around to reading it. Rocket seems like the perfect character for him so I'm looking forward to checking that.

Before i do something ridiculous like redeem my Amazing X-Men #4 code, does anyone want it? I feel guilty redeeming codes for issues i don't like...but at the same time it's in the middle of an arc so who really wants to jump into issue #4?

If Transformers: More than meets the eye is offered for up til #16 or farther, get ready for some feels GAF.
The feels.
Yes you will get feels from a Transformers comic, it is THAT FUCKING GOOD.

Bleeding Cool has an update to the rumor that David Finch is taking over Wonder Woman... supposedly, David will have a female co-writer on the series.

His wife-slash-agent-slash-manager, Meredith Finch.

Who's written for Zenescope Comics.

I'm sure it'll be fine.

I just synched up my Comixology and Marvel accounts. I feel incredibly accomplished.

EDIT: When does Amazing X-Men take place in the chronology of the X-Men series?

ANOTHER EDIT: Why is Nightcrawler a pirate?

Barbelith!

I went back there the other day to see if anyone had any insight on the contents of the new deluxe editions and it's kinda ghost towny.

:(

Dude, do you mean the forum? Because I discovered that place like 3 years ago, got super excited, tried to register, and then got an email that said that they weren't accepting registration because they're essentially dead. Sad day.

Yeah man, that place used to be really cool about 8 years or so ago then it fell apart. tbh I think the problem with creating a prejudice-free online utopia is that it tends towards righteous bitchiness. They chased me out for being a racist/misogynist/homophobe, it was crazy.

They had a great comics and music section though, was a formative part of my education.

Read a bunch of comics on my commute home.

Guardians of the Galaxy: really really good stuff. Seriously, had me choking up on the first two pages, all the stuff with young Scott and his dad is just heartwrenching. Fuck the Bendis haters, he really does character so well.

Uncanny Avengers: so uh yeah. Don't think I've ever seen that in a comic before. Or that, for another matter. Pretty ballsy stuff.

Wolverine and the X-Men: maybe I'm just weepy today but this was kicking me in the balls from start to end. So bittersweet. And really funny too. It's really sad that Aaron is leaving the book and it came across in every panel. It was so hopeful and warm. I loved it.

Hawkeye: probably my book of the week if only for that ending which was both inevitable and heart rending at the same time. Also was really nice to have Aja back, his art is just fantastic to look at. The body language that his characters show really is second to none, the book just oozes character and charm because of how Hawkeye is drawn, let alone what's actually happening in the story. Story was good too but the art was another level. That last page blew my socks off with the tiles.

ANOTHER EDIT: Why is Nightcrawler a pirate?

If you're going to get more issues we don't want to spoil things! i think Amazing happens currently. Nightcrawler died in the Second Coming crossover five? five? four? years ago. He's an afterlife pirate. Issue #1 starts with five or so x-men being dragged into a portal.

So between Invincible #108 and Saga #15, i can't handle all these wows. I'm not even supposed to like comics.

Probably my two favorite books right now. Saga needs to start releasing deluxe hardcovers asap.

I read the superior foes first issue. That book is genuinely funny. I laughed out loud at them taking the dog.

It only gets better! Just started reading the book as well, it is the only book in recent memory that has me laughing out loud issue by issue. It's really good. In the most recent episode of House to Astonish the made mention that scuttlebutt is that the book isn't garnering enough sales and is due to be canceled which blows.

Everyone get excited! 3D covers are coming back in September! Because we all know it's the cover and not the story inside that sells comics, right guys?

Dc is doing it again? Let's hope for another classic Joker and a monkey story.

This time the covers are "here's what your favorite hero looks like now... and here's what they maybe will look like five years from now (but probably won't because who'll care about this story five years from now)."

EDIT: Also, an as-yet unnamed third weekly series will debut in October, spinning out of whatever big event September's gimmick foreshadows.

In the interview, DiDio implied that the 12 (or more) weekly issues that would ship every month after October would, in theory, replace what would normally be 12 monthly titles. He said the three weekly series would not be added to the approximately 52 titles that DC publishes every month, but would be counted as part of their normal monthly line.

"So it's not that we're adding more product in," he said. "It's just as the weaker books go away, we're adding weeklies, which we think have big stories that lead to more and exciting events as they start to unfold over the next year."
If a low-tier book is your favorite, this doesn't bode well.

Fixed for accuracy

"We are going to have another weekly series kicking off in October that will be set in the current DCU timeline that will have direct implications on what's happening with the 'five years later' storyline. And you'll see a level of connectivity that I think will help really bring into focus where we see the future of the DCU heading," DiDio said.

I want out.

Why do i have to read this news just after reading Justice League #28? I think part of why the issue was so good was that it had little to do with Forever Evil in itself.

Hey guys, do i add Rocket Raccoon to my reading list or 12 DC weekly books?

Every character that they've reintroduced that people want to see in a solo book are gonna end up in this new weekly.

They are fuxking shrinking their line like crazy. 12 out of fuxking fifty two books. Say goodbye to Cyborg, Shazam, Stargirl and Lagoon Boy getting ongoings. I never though All New Marvel Now would expand the line so much tha DC would shrink their's to the size of my penis.

They should do another weekly about Batman's extended bat family and villains and have it tie into eternal.

Do it dc and get your best female writer on it.

D&D: Shadowplague

Buy this, ComicGAF. Then buy the other two volumes. DO IT!

How is the volume of Ghostbusters in this sale, does anyone know?

ARGH.

In better news, I've read Uncanny Avengers, Hawkeye and Rat Queens and so far this is a perfect week. <3 comics, so much.

Why couldn't this news have come yesterday? Because earlier today I said: "self, you need more DC in your life....pick up the last three Aquaman issues."

Damn I feel dumb.
