Those Wii U numbers are equivalent to a boxer opening his eyes during a ten count?

So the 82.5K number means the Wii U is slightly tracking above last year's YoY number

2013: 57K Jan 66K Feb
2014: 49K Jan 82.5K Feb

Wii U saved lol

Everyone's working overtime over at MS PR department trying to come up with the slickest spin that they can get away with.

It seems to be an uphill battle, by the looks of it.

"We managed to keep the Xbox One's stock higher than the PS4's stock in stores. It doesn't matter how many are sold to consumers. What matters is how many consumers are able to buy the consoles, and we've had much more success in that regard. The satisfaction of consumers is much more important than being able to barely keep stock in the stores."

I hope someone laughed at this attempt.

Outside of their competitor being supply constrained, they didn't have any reasons to be abnormally high this month.

But it could be that their numbers are abnormally low. I bet the titanfall bundle announced in Febuary resulted in a lot of returned consoles and cannibalized sales.

Curious: does anyone notice anything to do with that big sale Sony was pushing that might have had something to do with the delay?

Was wondering the same thing then again they have done a bigger sales before without a problem they did say the faced a technical problem the prevent them form putting all the contents in time

Nah, I think most people who wanted Titanfall were part of the launch crowd to being with. I still think it will bump March though, but I don't think it will significantly contract their potential sales for Feb.

I'm curious why it matters so much to PS4 owners to see weaker X1 sales numbers? Do you need extra justification for your console purchase or something?

You should understand that competition, mainly healthy competition, benefits all of us. We don't benefit from Sony or MSFT becoming the sole mainstream console provider.
