Sure if your using a literal meaning of the word however many people can immediately recognise when an anime is trying to be moe and classify that as moe. Basically when they try too hard to make it cute: blushes everywhere, gargantuan eyes, walking with kness facing inwards ( I have no idea why this is a thing) etc.

Because girls (and to some extent guys) in real life do it (at least in Tokyo). Walking slightly pigeon toed is considered cute, and genetically the Japanese have slightly more bowed legs than other races. It comes in two different flavors, X脚 (kyaku, leg) and O脚.

Man this show is so enjoyable. Mashiro-tan and Benio are a ball to watch.

Poor Hakuya. Only wants to stack shit in peace. I'm really digging his voice actor. It's definitely different to what one normally gets in shows.

Standout OP and ED too, dang. This show has it all for me.

Because the West doesn't do this at all.

Does Japanese live action do this at all? Not to excuse any media for the usual tawdry objectification thing (at least, as per this weekend, Zac Efron appears to be making a conscious decision to be seen as the new old Matthew McConaughey for the rest of his 20s), but I was curious; I haven't watched enough super-commercial Japanese live action to notice a trend.

It's purely a ratios game at this point, though, isn't it? For every Megan Fox bending over a car scene in Transformers there's several more, relatively easily accessible, classier portrayals of women in Western cinema, TV etc. Anime as a niche industry with limited output feels like it has disproportionate representation of this - indeed that's a draw for many anime fans - and I don't think even a cynical quip can dismiss that perception.

It's a male dominated industry and as such with most male dominated industries, there are going to be tits and ass shots. It's a larger societal issue than just blaming it on anime and the fans. You could create a thread in OT about female ass shots in comic books.

Introducing a character by seeing their ass and tits first severely undermines the importance of said character. The animators are just saying, heres a girl so you guys can stare at her ass and tits. I mean I understand the chest shot since thats what the boys were looking at but they can't even see her ass from where they are standing.

Oh, there's no denying that either, and nor would I seek to.

This is a fairly moot point, anyway, given that the video is of course a joke focused on the proper portrayal of fanserivce :p

ass shot keeps baffling me like it was thrown in just because. maybe it's that simple lol

I'm assuming it's just rule of threes rearing it's ugly head, since they didn't do the typical fully body panning shot that you usually see in anime.

The funny part is that when you see her again in the wider three shot, her rear is much... well, flatter than in the close up.

We call it the beach episode effect.

It's not really a thing in live-action. Actually, I can't remember ever witnessing something like this in a drama.

Maturity, bitches.
They should send me the first episode of HidaSketch for free as a present because I am one of those blessed to share the same birthday as the show (or should I say the show is blessed to share its birthday with me? Yeah, that sounds better)

I remember you posting screenshot where one male character grabbing boobs or something.

Anyway primetime dorama of course looks classy, but they also have midnight softcore with some top AV actress playing in it IIRC

I really want to see them start expanding the relationship between Kobeni and Hakuya.

Benio's creeper antics are still hilarious though.

I know anime heads I slightly bigger in proportion to the body than a real head, but that tshirt's head hole is bloody massive to the point of being ridiculous.

it's a style of shirt to leave the shoulders exposed. Well it's not really a shirt at that point, but nonetheless.

Oh yeah :lol
Well, it's still a very small part of the production and it's often quite self-aware when they do it.

Kobato. 3

Episode in which Kobato plays cupid without realizing it, has a bunch of umbrellas, and gets a free apartment.

Fujimoto continues being an ass who's so wary of everyone, his frown might as well form a physical cross-arm block in front of his face

Also, appearance of totally-not-a-reference-to-Chi-from-Chobits twins

So CLAMP. I love Kobato. Some criticize it for being a bit slow but its a feel good show pretty much. A dose of adorable to get you through the day.

Guess it's time to stop using the literal definition of words then if everyone else gets to do it.

Bucket satsuma fiddlesticks. Cucumber impossible fireplace unknown witch apricot tan down. Cow wall underwhelming cheese cup fly motion step bear.

Mango sprinkler geoducks fortitudinal fireplace whiskey walrus politics

I like puchimas and I don't know why. What is wrong with me?

Nothing. Its severely cute!

I cant understand what hes saying.

What about in Vividred where we are introduced to Akane through a sunrise crotchshot?
