Driveclub charted fairly high but actually sold under 30k in retail during its first week, compared to FH2's 50-70k. Which is still fairly good all things considering.
When you consider that it's a niche Wii U exclusive game that's a sequel to a niche PS3/360 game it could have been a whole lot worse. Also it's the UK charts which haven't been kind to Wii U.

Not sure if/where/when splits are coming from these days.
Looking at last week, TEW was about 55-60K so that 64% drop would put it at 20-21.5K. If the same split held this week that's like an ~11K floor for Bayonetta 2.
I can't recall what kind of trends we've seen with platform splits, but I would have thought first week would favor the new platforms, but later weeks the old platform share would creep up.

There is more PS4 than XBO and there is more X360 than PS3 and the ration between PS/Xbox is pretty much reversed in generation change - so it's not possible to determine whether PS3 owner conversion speed is faster or slower than X360 owners.

Though it's worth noting that estimate was also predicated on the splits being similar to the prior splits we had for FIFA instead of known ones.
It was the case in Japan, the UK, and at 190k for HW last month it's bound to be the same for the US. Not that surprising I think.

If it's like a somewhat niche franchise that opens at 3rd behind big hitters.
Besides, for Media Create we have numbers so "place" is more irrelevant, but it does still get mentioned a little.

We don't have enough data to make accurate estimates for individual titles. The only thing we know is that Fifa 15 sold around 73,000 units between all versions.
Next week's biggest release is Sunset Overdrive but I don't think Fifa 15 first spot is in danger.

Eh to me Bayonetta 2's debut looks to be about as good as it could be in the UK but that doesn't automatically make it "good", I mean unless the only discussion is relative to the worst it could possibly have done then sure I guess. It almost assuredly debuted to less than 20,000, probably less than 15,000 but yes a lot of that could be attributed to Wii U's performance or lack of it within the UK.
Bundles seem to be helping Driveclub, PS4 minecraft + Fifa 15 this week. I'm not sure the same is true of FH2 as I haven't seen any retailer bundles for that game although 10th place could very well be pretty low. Still seems to be holding somewhat I think.

So bayo 2 >10k?
Last week, Forza Horizon (One + 360) did between 14,000 and 19,000. Since both One and 360 SKUs are almost in the same places in charts as last week, it's possible to think FH2's weekly drop hasn't been that sever, probably quite a bit lower than 50%. So, I'd say Bayonetta 2 should be higher than 10,000 units. Not by that much (max 13,000, and I think that's optimistic

I think Tesco have an exclusive FH bundle.
hard to say due to bundles as well as the fact that 360 sold around 50% more than PS3 in the UK.

well Amazon has FH bundles as well. But they will probably drop now that SO is out... I just checked some sites and noticed they have bundles with SO+COD for 329 GBP, thats probably their next big thing.
Germany had some crazy good bundles with Destiny and FH.

So around 600k in the UK in 16 months then as per the 8.4M announcement last June
Also that means the US + UK probably accounted for like 57% or so of the 360's WW sales which seems a lot
Is it that much? Always thought its around ~60%.
That percentage should be going up with the XB1 though, right?

Well we don't know exact 360's WW shipments unfortunately but going off say 84.5M WW which is probably fairly close, US 360 LTD is around 41.6M, and with UK 360 LTD around 9M, I guess US + UK is closer to 60% of 360's WW LTD
My earlier comment was made without too much thought and I used 85M for 360 WW LTD even though that seems high
For XB1, if WW sales are 6M then just the US accounts for 58% of its sales.
If WW sales are 6.5M then just the US accounts for 54% of its sales.
if WW sales are 7M then just the US accounts for 50% of its sales.
Still not sure where I'd peg XB1 WW sales at though
The other issue is using sold-through to consumer numbers versus shipped numbers which for the 360 wouldn't be much of a problem may be an issue for the XB1 in this comparison depending how much is in the channels

It's probably amazing that ANY Wii U games can chart in the UK, with no supermarkets carrying it. I'd hoped it would chart better in Germany but there are popular games above it. I hope Bayo 2 has great word of mouth, it deserves to do well or at least be a popular stocking filler.
I bought it from game.co.uk (digitally) myself , but could only afford it after the weekend. I got the code instantly and was able to use my built up game points as well as get the premium 10% bonus on eshop. Essentially, I got it for 15 quid! I didn't realise I could do that until this month!

Not to discount its performance as its still admirable but I believe there have been some sales/retailer bundles for it and the like recently in Germany

6th for Bayonetta 2 is actually pretty damn impressive given the only things above it are FIFA and Minecraft.
Driveclub is going to look like it bombed in NA but thing will work out for it elsewhere. It was never really a game aimed at the American audience in the first place. Sony is far more interested in PS+ memberships and digital sales figures from it so it's kind of a guinea pig in that regard.

It did on the PS3 and word of mouth through summer helped it. It hit its big sales milestones rather far down the line (by AAA standards). It's a perfect "hey, once you get a PS4 be sure to get it" title

Saturn( 2nd biggest electronics retailer) has a Fifa bundle this week so Fifa PS4 should be no. 1 next week.
