I got this for Christmas and man the graphics to me are pretty huge upgrade and I love that they made use of the speaker on the controller on the PS4. It's put to great use for phone calls and police talk. Add to the fact you can use the MP3 player for custom music the PC version advantages aren't that great.

if i can't connect due to the DDOS on PSN will it effect the singleplayer stock market? the Vapid stock went down to 0 when it was building back up from the assassination mission I did last time i played.

I think GTAV is as disappointing as it is great so I can understand how you feel.
I'm also looking forward to the next Red Dead in hopes that it'll do more for me.

Yeah I played a few hours tring to get a hang of things, did a few missions, I messed up things did random things etc.
I think RDR is maybe top 3 last gen, but I can't enjoy this one and this is the second chance I give to GTA franchise lol, first was GTA4 and I fucking hated hat one.
Im not saying the game is bad at all, what I played I was immersed, city is detailed as all hell, characters are topt notch, hilarious dialog, a very well made game maybe one of the very best but when it doesn't click well you know, this will take a sit next to vanquish, HL games as games critically acclaimed games that I simply don't like lol.

park it in a garage, step out and then save on-foot nearby
reload save... it should remember the car in the garage and then also spawn it a 2nd time as you 'last car driven' nearby
try that first... i can post a vid if need be but it's pretty simple, just try those instructions first

Let's say you just raised a stat to 40% and the little box flashes up to let you know this. you use it a few more times and the stat page now has a tiny sliver of the next box filled, to what looks like could be 41 or 42%
That extra 1 or 2%, is that actually usable or does it not really do anything for you until you reach the full 60%? Because i'm not sure if I can tell. I think it probably is usable but it could be my imagination?

It is indeed supposed to be random and varied. I can imagine that there will be many similar reactions at first. I must admit that the picture, however, was way too distracting and has been removed. I've also restructured a bit to make it easier to read. There was too much text before.

Xmas newb here. I've played maybe 6 hours or so (not completely focused, a bunch of sightseeing between missions) and I just bought my first property. I don't know if it was the best move since it burned up a lot of my cash, but the vehicles that I can store at this property are my favorite in the GTA universe. I just wish the property had a save spot like the safe house.
So...anything I should know about? Are spoilers open season in this thread since the game has been out for a year now? I did hear about entering the stock market before doing certain missions. I get the impression that they are later end game missions though.

So I've just completed what I think was the prologue mission, drove a car with Franklin and quit the game. When I went back there was no sign of a saved game so it made me play the prologue again.
What the hell is happening? I'm on PS4, by the way.

You quit before the game could do its first hard save? I don't know, did you finish the Franklin mission or did you just randomly quit?

I didn't finish it that time (but I've just done it again so everything's fine now) but even then, I thought the game would save after the prologue.

I think the first auto-save is maybe not until you finish the first F mission...
usually it saves after every mission but maybe because there's no free roam between the prologue and first mission, there's no auto-save

I've done a couple of tow truck missions with Franklin and destroyed some latino gangster's mansion with Michael. I'm disappointed with the story so far. It's not as funny or as engaging as San Andreas'.

Quick tip also: If you want to steal a jet without smashing the cockpit, enter from the left side. And by the left side, I mean from a head-on view, looking at the nose of the jet. It never smashes if you enter it from this side. No idea why.

Nice tip, GTA seems so full of weird stuff like this that I wonder what else we've missed. For example, in PS3 and I assume 360, turning the camera to face towards the hood of the car and holding X and triangle / A and Y lets you get out of the car without shutting the door. Camera has to be in front of the car, that button combination has to be held down, it's the weirdest thing. They fixed it in PS4 version, but it makes me wonder what other quirky features the game has due to the slightly unpolished controls / game play mechanics.
Lol honestly those are the worst missions in the game. Yeah keep on until at least the jewelry mission.
