I have on good authority there will be a very New 3DS-centric Nintendo Direct next week. If not a Direct then a deluge of news regarding the system and upcoming games. These price drops make perfect sense.
How does the 3ds transferring work now? Do I need a NEW 3ds LL in hand to transfer all my games//ambassador status from my XL?

This combined with the retail guy's statement in the other thread make me believe this thing is hitting the U.S. next month.
Nintendo Direct probably within the next two weeks to announce.
