Hey gaf how fucked am I? I have pissed off a hunter npc in the beginning area, kinda church setting where you could cut down two loot drops, i think its above the sewers. Crow kinda NPC standing on a balcony with dual daggers. Should i ignore her or go in for the kill? Is she important?

Sorry, you will miss a major questline because of this. On a positive note you can get some of the quest rewards by killing her. If you still haven't left the beginning area I imagine that the fight will be quite difficult.

I did this too. She looks like a bad guy ripe for the plucking; I bet a lot of people have attacked her. nothing to do now but destroy.

Is it? O always start at the stairs with no lamp, I've opened the shortcut that's not the problem but well, if there's a lamp nearby I'll activate it and leave to level up and stuff. THX!

I can't believe how easy VA is once you get really agressive and keep really close to her. I beat her with the treaded cane in ~90 seconds tops with ~15 vials to spare. On my previous attempts, I was playing really cautiously and shit, rolling around like a maniac to put her at a distance.

I found that works well too, but still can get hit by that grab attack.

There's a single gun and trick weapon that both take advantage of it. The trick weapon drains your health though, but I still love it.

yea, but this specific door has an "action" to it. I forgot what it says but something along the lines of this door cant be opened from this side or it needs a device or something

Vit to 50 and End to 40 is still worth it. I got strength to 50 so I'd imagine skill at 50 is fine too.

I set the controller down palms sweaty.

Never really thought about it, but it is nice there won't be any "lagstabs" in pvp...worst case would be a couple of quick hits most likely.

I'm almost done with the game I think. I don't understand the people complaining about the NPC's I find them a lot better here than on the previous games. It's cool to come back and see what happens to them after you progress in the game, granted I didn't beat Souls 2 so maybe so cool stuff happens in that a game as well.

I think the music in this game is weak and I still think the best music in a souls game is Demon Souls.

Yes, so intense. I've had a few like that.

I also had one in which me and opponent both saw each other, vow, then she pulls out the cannon and 1 shots me. Over in 2 seconds.

To make matters worse, she did the screeching "Roar" gesture while wearing the queen dress after killing me. Pretty cool I thought.

Use your parries more often, and dodge forward into his attacks. Don't get too many hits at once. You can do it, he's not all that bad, espeically if you already beat Father Geezy

His tell for that lunge is very subtle but it's there. When he puts both front legs on the ground and kinda waits he's about to do it.

I missed like 95% of NPC related content in my playthrough. To me the quest lines were totally unachievable on a blind run. On NG+ now and looking things up this time. I appreciate the mind blowing amount of secrets, but lIke other Souls games, following an obscure NPC quest sometimes doesn't really give you anything useful.

the tell for the grab is important to see, once you can watch for it you can wreck it every time it goes for a grab

that was my first kill, I have better ways now, but that video shows how when it goes for the grab you can follow up by trucking. The grab is always followed by a single swipe when it misses you, so get out of range of the swipe and charge up a heavy attack

Strafe left then back. You can actually get backstabs on him. Go in a few times and dont use any vials, just practice dodging his attacks. Try not to over commit to more than 2 or 3 hits at a time as well. Make sure you have enough stamina to dodge him.

What animations are you gaining i-frames from during that fight?

Don't rely on Pungent cocktails, use them to help you.
